Acht jaar na de release van mijn vorige cd Ellips is het tijd voor een opvolger: de nieuwe cd gaat Inland heten en komt voort uit mijn fascinatie voor natuur- en stadsgeluiden die heel geleidelijk in volume toenemen en even zo langzaam weer wegsterven.
Om de cd te kunnen realiseren heb ik jullie hulp nodig!
Naast twee elektro-akoestische composities komen er op de cd drie werken voor blaasinstrumenten met uiteenlopende vormen van (live) elektronica. Ze worden bespeeld door James Fulkerson (trombone, effecten) en Jos Zwaanenburg (fluiten met live elektronica), terwijl in het openingsstuk basklarinettist Igor Urruchi Salas begeleid wordt door de basboxen. Hans van Eck bespeelt dit intrigerende instrument, dat ontworpen is door geluidkunstenaar Hans van Koolwijk in samenwerking met het Schreck Ensemble.
Waarvoor wordt het bedrag gebruikt?
Ik ben al een eind op weg. De vijf stukken voor de cd zijn opgenomen en het label Etcetera zal de cd uitbrengen. Geplande datum: oktober 2017.
De kosten die overblijven betreffen de editing, mix, de master van de cd en een deel van de productiekosten zoals de persing van de cd en de vormgeving. Een ander deel van de productiekosten wordt door Etcetera betaald.
Donatie
Bij een donatie kun je verschillende tegenprestaties ontvangen zoals een gesigneerde cd, een naamsvermelding in het cd-boekje of een huisconcert door trombonist James Fulkerson voorzien van een toelichting door mijzelf.
Het zou fantastisch zijn als jullie mij willen steunen en de cd mede mogelijk willen maken!
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
Eight years after the release of my previous cd Ellips it is time for a successor: the title of the new cd will be Inland. All music originates from my fascination for nature and city sounds that gradually increase in volume and just as slowly fade away.
To make this cd possible I need your help!
Besides two electro-acoustic compositions the cd contains three works for wind instruments with various forms of (live) electronics. The instruments are played by James Fulkerson (trombone, effects) and Jos Zwaanenburg (flutes with live electronics), while in the opening piece bass clarinet player Igor Urruchi Salas is accompanied by the bass boxes. Hans van Eck plays this intriguing instrument, designed by sound artist Hans van Koolwijk in collaboration with the Schreck Ensemble.
What is the amount needed for?
I am well on the way. The five pieces for the cd have already been recorded and the cd will be released by the label Etcetera. Scheduled date: October 2017.
The remaining costs are related to the editing, mixing and mastering of the cd and a part of the production costs such as the printing of the cd and the design. The rest of the production costs will be paid by Etcetera.

In exchange for a donation you can receive various rewards such as a signed copy of the cd, your name/company printed in the cd booklet or a house concert by trombonist James Fulkerson together with a presentation by myself.
