My name is Eduardo López Cabello, a Chilean musician, and in 2013, I came to Amsterdam to continue my studies in Choir Conducting with Jos Vermunt at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
At the end of their studies, the students of the Conservatory perform a concert as their final exam. This project is my final exam.

With this concert I intend to bring together very different music: all that I've learned from the European tradition, what I bring with me from my origins in Latin-America and the music that I've written myself.

It is a standing tradition amongst music students to come to each other's aid when it's time to organize their final concerts. Many of my friends and colleagues will therefore join me in this project.

35 musicians from different conservatories all over the Netherlands will take part in my concert, either singing or playing European or Latin-American music.

As for any project, we have several expenses that I have to cover: programs, posters and (most importantly) the travel expenses for all the musicians that take part on this project and don't live or study in Amsterdam.

Mijn naam is Eduardo López Cabello, ik ben een Chileense muzikant. In 2013 ben ik naar Amsterdam gekomen om mijn opleiding tot koordirigent voort te zetten aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, bij Jos Vermunt.

Jaarlijks geven eindejaars aan het conservatorium een concert ter afsluiting van hun opleiding. Dit project is mijn afstudeerconcert.

Met dit concert wil ik verschillende stijlen van muziek samenbrengen: alles wat ik heb geleerd van de Europese traditie, wat ik mee heb gebracht vanuit mijn Latijns-Amerikaanse achtergrond en de muziek die ik zelf in Amsterdam heb geschreven.

Het is traditie onder conservatoriumstudenten om elkaar te ondersteunen en helpen bij het produceren van afstudeerconcerten. Veel van mijn vrienden en studiegenoten zullen daarom deelnemen aan dit project.

35 muzikanten van verschillende conservatoria vanuit heel Nederland zullen deel uitmaken van mijn concert, door ofwel zingend of door een muziekinstrument te bespelen Europese of Latijns-Amerikaanse muziek ten gehore te brengen.

Zoals elk project, komen er verschillende kosten kijken bij de productie: programmaboekjes, posters en (het meest belangrijke) de reiskosten voor de muzikanten die aan het project deelnemen en niet wonen of studeren in Amsterdam.

Ik zou uw steun via Voordekunst enorm op prijs stellen, zodat dit concert mogelijk gemaakt kan worden.

Mi nombre es Eduardo López Cabello, músico chileno. El año 2013, viajé a Amsterdam para continuar mis estudios en Dirección Coral con Jos Vermunt en el Conservatorio de Amsterdam.

Al final de nuestros estudios, los estudiantes del Conservatorio realizan un concierto, que representa nuestro examen de grado. Este es mi examen de grado.

Con este concierto intento juntar en un único concierto música muy distinta: todo lo que he aprendido de la tradición Europea, lo que traigo conmigo de mis raíces en América Latina y la música que he escrito yo mismo.

Es una tradición implícita entre los estudiantes de música, que todos nos ayudamos cuando es momento de organizar nuestro concierto final. En este caso, muchos amigos y colegas se han unido para ayudarme en este momento.

35 músicos de distintos conservatorios, alrededor de todo Holanda, participarán de este concierto, ya sea cantando o tocando, en música Europea o Latino-americana.

Como en cualquier proyecto, hay diversos gastos relacionados: programas, posters y (más importante) el gasto en transporte de los músicos que no viven en Ámsterdam y van a participar de este proyecto.
