You've supported us in the past to release our album Twelve Steps. For this, we are eternally grateful! We hope that the album has a special place in your home and gets heard every now and then.

During the first wave of the pandemic we recorded a new album called 'Saudade'
We were able to construct it together via the internet by layering parts that we recorded at home. With the support of SENA and the income via Twelve Steps online sales, we've been fortunate enough to record the album, including numerous session musicians, last winter.
Without having any live-shows this felt like an enormous achievement and thus we were able to keep moving forward as a band. We are very proud of the end result. Below we'll explain a little bit more about the album and if you are curious we've created a short preview playlist where you can be the first in the world to hear some tracks!

The album is set for release on February 11th, 2022, but in order to make this happen, we still need some help. Even though we've been able to come this far, we are missing the final part to be able to finance the realization, promotion, and distribution of a physical and digital album.
Given the fact that you have supported us in the past, we would like to ask for your help one more time.

Saudade:
‘Saudade’ is a word unique to the Portuguese language and closely related to the traditional fado (folk) music of the country. It expresses a feeling of longing, melancholy, and/or nostalgia.

With ‘Saudade’, we have created an anthem that praises the tradition of folk music. The songs, written by Puggaard-Müller, can in essence be described as Dylan-esque. The mixture of music, hopeless romance, travel, and love, resulted into several classic folk songs with story-telling lyrics. Lyrics written like a diary, riding upon a Portuguese palette of melancholic musical folk strokes. By incorporating horns, strings, choirs, samples, and soundscapes into this palette, we started exploring new sonic territories, an exploration that resulted in an exciting new orchestral-sounding album.

Holy cow! Thank you all so much! We are already at a 105% and still have 4 days to spare. This is incredible.
This means we will be able to print the record on Vinyl, CD, Create a lyric book, print t-shirts and make sure it all comes you way!

Since we are already at a 105% we debated what we could do with the extra money coming in. This morning we decided that if we reach a 110% (5000 euro's) we will press a limited amount of unique white vinyl's.

These white vinyl's while be pressed in the same mold as the black ones. Leaving on it a brownish pattern, making every white vinyl an unique limited edition. Obviously, if you already donated for vinyl and if we make the 5000 euro's, you can still opt for having a limited edition white vinyl.

Only 3 weeks into the process and we've made up to 70%.
Thank you so much for supporting us and getting us this far.
We've just returned from a 3 week tour in Denmark and Germany. The road has been good to us as we are trying to spread the word that is: Subterranean Street Society.
In the picture you can see us perform in Berlin last week.

We've also been so fortunate that AFK (Amsterdamse fonds voor de kunsten) has donated 500 euro's to our project to support our music and goals.

With the last two weeks closing in we really have to buckle down to reach the full 100%.

So how can you help us if you already donated?

Well..
On social media (Instagram and Facebook) we pay a lot of attention to this crowdfunding. You might have noticed weekly updates with acoustic versions of the record.

However the more people interact with the post the bigger the reach. So liking, commenting and sharing is of great aid!
