Moon Gallery Ventura Future

Moon Gallery is an international collaborative artwork and a gallery of ideas worth sending to the Moon. Moon Gallery intends to launch 100 artifacts to the Moon within the compact format of 10 x 10 x 1cm plate on a lunar lander as early as 2022. In this Petri dish like gallery we are developing culture for future interplanetary society. What are the ideas we want to promote into the future? What are the ideas we want to leave behind? Moon Gallery aims to instigate inspiration for the global space exploration and demonstrate how the challenges along this journey drive innovative design thinking and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Concept:
– An international collaborative artwork and a gallery of ideas worth sending to the Moon
– A 10 by 10 cm patch of Lunar Lander exterior panelling is one intended venue for this Gallery.
(There are 100 cells available of 1 x 1 x 1cm for submissions)
– Dissemination of information & aesthetic crowdsourced organism online.
– The educational program offering ArtMoonMars & Moon Village workshops worldwide.

Moon Gallery Ventura Future mission:
We are excited to announce that Moon Gallery was selected for the Salone del Mobile Milano Ventura Future (9-14 April 2019)! We will have our own gallery space provided by the Ventura Projects of about 18 m2 and will be able to present a special selection of submissions. Ventura Future brings together innovative concepts that create a better world or will improve our future in a social, economic or cultural way and promotes crossovers between art, design and other disciplines. Ventura Future is a great opportunity for getting more attention to the gallery and it’s mission as well as to the participating artists & designers. Since Salone del Mobile Milano is a highly international event, we can expect getting new collaborators, participants and partners form all over the world.
