We now have the opportunity to bring the work abroad, among others to Germany, Belgium and France, and some more dates in the Netherlands.
For this extension of the tour we need your help.
The creation is in a form of a pop-up bar where guests can visit for free, and experience the karaoke om bar from Vietnam. Bars where women serve beer, and offer sexual comfort during the beer consumption.
In our creation we would like to offer the intimacy, WITHOUT offering the sex. A new look on the sex workers industry.
To extend the tour with all the costs that comes along to travel with the installation, to build up the installation, and buy in the beer, we need your help!
The brewery we choose are brewed specifically by women. (Gebrouwen door Vrouwen)
To strenghten women in an industry that's still largely being dominated by men.
For all our friends outside of the Netherlands, you can visit www.JASONgwen.com/support to donate directly to our non-profit foundation, we will top this campaign up with that money!
ARNHEMS Work is an ever changing hybrid performance arts foundation led by JASON GWEN. The work is about the look on Western actuality, from different perspectives of other parts of the world. Jason was born in Vietnam but grew up in the Netherlands and with periods in Canada. Returning subjects are gender, sexuality and lifestyle developments, and a broad look on the global daily work patterns. The (re)questioning about (sub)conscious choices we make to create and live a certain reality.
