BRUTUS
BRUTUS, formerly known as AVL Mundo, was founded by Joep van Lieshout in 2008 whose transgressive practice over the last four decades has shed light on what a foundation of tomorrow could look like. As the largest contemporary art space in the Netherlands, it uses its architecture as a collaborative material to inform its multi-disciplinary program. BRUTUS is a not for profit arts foundation and it exists to offer artists time, space, freedom and funds to experiment, to perform and to exhibit at a massive scale. ''Where anything is possible for artists to explode, dream big and build even bigger” - Joep van Lieshout .
BRUTUS is located at Keileweg 10-18 in the Rotterdam city harbour area M4H. Besides exhibition spaces, the complex contains the BRUTUS Lab with a residency and various workspaces, and the free-access sculpture garden BRUTUS Garden.

Joep van Lieshout is toegewijd aan het creëren van mogelijkheden voor kunst en kunstenaars. Ter ere van de 40e verjaardag van Atelier Van Lieshout vraagt Joep aan iedereen die zich herkent in deze toewijding om een bijdrage te leveren aan de toekomst van kunst en kunstenaars!

BRUTUS
BRUTUS, voorheen bekend als AVL Mundo, werd in 2008 opgericht door Joep van Lieshout. Met in totaal 6000m2 aan rauwe ongepolijste expositieruimte is BRUTUS de grootste hedendaagse kunstinstelling van Nederland. Hier wordt kunst getoond die confronteert, ontwricht en prikkelt. BRUTUS biedt kunstenaars tijd, ruimte en vrijheid om op grote schaal te experimenteren. Grote namen uit de internationale kunstwereld worden afgewisseld met opkomend en nog te ontdekken talent. Alle kunstdisciplines komen aan bod: van sculptuur tot performance; van nieuwe tot traditionele media.
BRUTUS bevindt zich aan de Keileweg 10-18 in het Rotterdamse stadshavengebied M4H. Naast expositieruimtes bevat het complex het BRUTUS Lab met een residency en verschillende werkruimtes, en de gratis toegankelijke beeldentuin BRUTUS Garden.
