Mag ik jullie voorstellen aan de Keybird, een speciale draagbare piano. Deze prachtige piano biedt me de mogelijkheid om mijn muzikale reis naar elke hoek van de wereld te brengen. Of het nu gaat om intieme huiskamerconcerten, buitenoptredens in parken of spontane straatmuziek, de draagbaarheid van de Keybird geeft me de vrijheid om mijn muziek te laten weerklinken waar ik maar wil.

Wat is het plan?

Als enthousiaste musicus en componist is het mijn passie om muziek te verkennen en te transformeren. Met de Keybird zal ik nieuwe composities maken en als resultaat een album opnemen met het label Trptk. Met jullie steun kan ik een unieke en boeiende reis starten.

Dankzij de MIDI-functionaliteit kan ik mijn muziek verrijken met digitale prossessen, gelaagde geluiden en andere interessante aanpassingen. Dit stelt me in staat om een eigentijdse draai te geven en tegelijkertijd mijn eigen artistieke visie tot uiting te brengen. Het resultaat is een harmonische conversie waarin het verleden en het heden samenkomen in een unieke muzikale ervaring.

Wat zijn de eigenschappen van de Keybird?

De Keybird is speciaal ontworpen om hoogwaardige geluiden en een authentieke zachte pianoklank te leveren, waardoor ik mijn artistieke expressie naar een hoger niveau kan tillen. De constructie met maar een snaar per noot maakt het geluid zacht en heel intiem dit past zeer goed bij mijn muziek en maakt het instrument uitermate licht van gewicht. Voor transport daarom zeer geschikt.

Help je mee?

Jullie bijdrage zal niet alleen helpen bij de aankoop van de Keybird, maar ook bij het dekken van bijkomende kosten, zoals vervoer, en eventuele aanpassingen om de piano optimaal te laten functioneren. Wanneer er meer wordt opgehaald dan het doelbedrag, zal een deel van de opbrengst worden gebruikt voor het organiseren van gratis openbare optredens, waarbij ik mijn passie voor muziek kan delen met mensen die anders misschien niet de kans zouden krijgen om live concerten bij te wonen.

Ik geloof dat muziek een krachtig middel is om emoties over te brengen en mensen samen te brengen. Met jullie steun kan ik mijn muzikale reis voortzetten, waarbij ik harten kan raken en een blijvende impact kan creëren.

Wie ben ik?

Mijn naam is Kristján Martinsson, pianist, componist en verder multi-instrumentalist uit IJsland. 9 jaar geleden studeerde ik af op het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, inmiddels ben ik meerdere jaren actief in de muziekscene van Nederland en IJsland. Afgelopen jaren heb ik o.a. het podium gedeeld met Flip Noorman, Janne Schra, Kika Sprangers, Michael Moore, Wilbert de Joode, Benjamin Herman, Tómas R Einarsson, Samúel Jón Samúelsson, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen, Óskar Guðjónsson. Ook heb ik afgelopen jaren een paar prestigieuze prijzen gewonnen zoals Young Nordic Jazz Commets en Icelandic Music Awards.

Thanks to the MIDI functionality, I can enrich my music with digital processes, layered sounds, and other interesting adjustments. The Keybird is specially designed to deliver high-quality sounds and an authentic soft piano tone, allowing me to elevate my artistic expression. The construction with only one string per note produces a gentle and highly intimate sound, which complements my music exceptionally well and makes the instrument extremely lightweight. Hence, it is highly suitable for transport.

Will you help?

Your contribution will not only assist in the purchase of the Keybird but also cover additional expenses like transportation and any adjustments needed to optimize the piano's performance. If we raise more than the target amount, a portion of the proceeds will be used to organize free public performances, where I can share my passion for music with those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend live concerts.

Who am I?

My name is Kristján Martinsson, a pianist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Iceland. I graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam 9 years ago, and I have been actively involved in the music scenes of both the Netherlands and Iceland for several years. Over the past years, I've had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Flip Noorman, Janne Schra, Kika Sprangers, Michael Moore, Wilbert de Joode, Benjamin Herman, Tómas R Einarsson, Samúel Jón Samúelsson, Magnús Trygvason Eliassen, and Óskar Guðjónsson. Additionally, I've been honored to receive prestigious awards including the Young Nordic Jazz Commets and Icelandic Music Awards.
