About Zone2Source
Founded in 2013, this year we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Zone2Source! Zone2Source is a platform for art, nature and technology in the Amstelpark, Amsterdam. With many outdoor artworks, an artist garden and glass pavilions where we present exhibitions, residencies and events, we imagine the Amstelpark as a testing ground for a life in the Symbiocene. We use the park as a living lab, where we take artistic research out of the studios and into the public space, engaging people in the explorations and imaginations of artists and giving new context to being human on a multi-species planet.

About the publication
For our 10-year anniversary we are planning a special publication that will look back on the past 10 years of Zone2Source, whilst also examining possible futures. By highlighting key projects and collaborations, the publication – in text and images - will take a closer look at the practice of making and curating art in the site responsive space of an urban park that engages with our perspectives on society, nature and technology. We will invite guest writers (artists, researchers and curators) to narrate and expand on their practice and experiences at Zone2Source. The publication ultimately brings together all the amazing projects artists have developed with us in the past ten years, allowing the reader to reflect on the myriad of ways art can play a role in the urgent ecological challenges of our time.
The publication will be designed by Karoline Świeżyński, who Zone2Source have been collaborating with for over 8 years!

In order to realise this celebratory, 10-year anniversary publication, we need your help! Every contribution is welcome!
Your donations will contribute to the costs necessary to realise this special publication, and as a token of our gratitude you will receive a unique reward (tegenprestatie), all listed on the right-hand side of this page.

All donors of €35 or more will be able to pick up a copy of the publication at the booklaunch in 2024!

Zone2Source viert dit jaar ons 10-jarig jubileum! Zone2Source is een platform voor kunst, natuur en technologie, opgericht in 2013 in het Amstelpark,Amsterdam. Met veel buitenkunstwerken, een unieke kunstenaarstuin en glazenpaviljoens waar er tentoonstellingen, kunstenaarsresidenties en evenementen worden gepresenteerd, stellen we ons het Amstelpark voor als een proeftuin het Symbioceen. We gebruiken het park als een living lab waarbij wij het artistiek onderzoek uit de kunstenaarsateliers halen en in de openbare ruimte plaatsen. Wij willen mensen betrekken bij de verkenningen en verbeeldingen van kunstenaars, en hierbij een vernieuwde context geven aan het mens-zijn op een multi-species planeet.

Over de publicatie
Voor ons 10-jarig jubileum ontwikkelen wij een bijzondere publicatie die op de afgelopen 10 jaar Zone2Source terugblikt en mogelijke toekomsten onderzoekt. Door belangrijke projecten en samenwerkingen te belichten, zal de publicatie – in zowel tekst en beeld – dieper ingaan op de praktijk van het maken en cureren van kunst in deze site-responsieve ruimte: een stedelijk park dat zich bezighoudt met onze perspectieven op de samenleving, natuur en technologie. Gastschrijvers (kunstenaars, onderzoekers en curators) zullen hun praktijk en ervaringen bij Zone2Source toelichten en illustreren. De publicatie verzamelt alle geweldige projecten die kunstenaars in de afgelopen tien jaar met ons hebben ontwikkeld, waarmee de lezer kan reflecteren op de talloze manieren waarop kunst een rol kan spelen in de urgente ecologische uitdagingen van onze tijd.
De publicatie wordt vormgegeven door Karoline Świeżyński, met wie Zone2Source al meer dan 8 jaar samenwerkt!
