Just wanted to drop a quick update on our short film. We're almost through with post-production—can you believe it?

Editing has been a whirlwind, but seeing the film come together has been absolutely mind-blowing! The scenes, the music, everything—it's shaping up to be something truly special.

Oh, and here's some exciting news: our director recently graduated cum laude from the Willem de Kooning Academy! We couldn't be prouder of his well-deserved success.

Hold onto your seats because our online premiere is happening in September but stay tuned for more details.

Can you believe it? May has flown by and we’ve officially wrapped principal photography! Here are some behind the scenes photos from our shooting days just for you.

We’re currently deep in post-production, and everyone on the team is working hard to make sure that the footage we’ve taken can become a great film. Wish us luck, and talk to you soon!

Thanks to all your contributions, our campaign was able to succeed with 85% of our goal amount being met. We are so thankful for your help!

We are currently right in the middle of production, with principal photography going in full swing! The incredibly talented production team we've assembled in the Philippines are currently busy with making sure that everything is commencing as smoothly as possible.

As for our Poy and Shirley, we can’t wait to introduce them to you in the official cast announcement! Keep checking your emails for notifications from us, because the next update will be a really special one.

Dear donors! As you might have seen, our crowdfunding is almost at its end and we have not reached our 100% goal. This means you’ve recently received an email from Voordekunst asking if you want to help us with that last 20%. If you have doubts about our ability to make Hanggang Sa Muli with just 80% let us explain how we are planning to do this with the English translation of the 80% regulation text:

"Thank you very much for your contribution! Unfortunately, we did not reach 100%. But don't worry! The film will be made thanks to the graduation contribution of NPO 3LAB, which will eventually raise the budget to 140%. In addition, there is a separate crowdfunding campaign in the Philippines that ensures that we can properly compensate the crew. We are confident that this will all add up to our budget and the film can be made as we envision it. Keep faith in us and thank you!"

The most important thing for us is that you help us keep it above 80%, this means that we will receive the money and that’s the one thing we really need. On to better news! Honey Simpatupang, our screenwriter, has just arrived in Manilla! She and Jacob will be going to production meetings, table readings with the actors, and starting location scouting! We are planning for the shoot to start in early May, only a month away!

First and foremost, we’ve reached 39%! We couldn’t have gotten this far without your help, so for that we would like to thank you.

Some updates are due, the most important one being that our director Jacob has safely landed in Manila! He’s continuing to work hard on this film even with the six hour time difference, and your contributions only add fuel to the fire of his motivation.

As you might have noticed, the deadline of our crowdfunding has been extended by two weeks! We have Voordekunst to thank for that, as like you, they have faith in our vision. Two weeks might seem like a lot, but time flies by! This means that you have more time to spread the word to your friends, family, and colleagues, who might see themselves in our story.

In more good news, we’ve recently received a contribution from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds. We are incredibly grateful for their support, and we can’t wait to bring our story to life with the help that they’ve given us.

Hello contributors! Very first of all, thank you! We have reached the 19% And are steadily climbing so share with all your friends!

Welcome to the very first update of Hanggang Sa Muli! What a week it's been! We launched the crowdfunding only last week and not even a day later we got big news. Hanggang Sa Muli has been selected through the NPO 3LAB graduation fund to be co-produced by BNNVARA. This means that we will get coaching from their dramaturgists, and producers as well as a contribution to our film. Not only that, the film will have its online premiere on the socials of BNNVARA in November 2023!

For those who are not familiar, BNNVARA is part of the National Dutch broadcasting station that programs the first 3 tv channels. Think like how the UK has BCC 1, 2, & 3. Every year they pick 6 graduation projects from the few film studies in The Netherlands and HSM has been selected as the only project coming from WDKA.

This is an incredible opportunity for us and we are so happy that we were selected. It was a rollercoaster. We submitted last January with the mindset of our chances being pretty small. After all the film will be in Tagalog, not Dutch. But imagine our surprise when we got the call! Our director and screenwriter were even still asleep after working on the script until deep in the night the day before! But this news can only mean good things. Because of this we can up our production value and make an even better end product.

Besides all that we’re staying busy working on the script and getting some production things in order. It’s a lot of learning but help is coming from every side which we are incredibly thankful for. We also recently celebrated the director, Jacob Alcala's birthday and he will leave next week for the Philippines where real pre-production will start.
