Wie ben ik?

Ik ben Wisse Scheele, een 19 jarige danser en kunstenaar bij het Nationale Ballet van Slowakije. Ik begon al met dansen toen ik 3 was, later deed ik auditie voor de nationale balletacademie en werd ik aangenomen. Nu bijna 10 jaar later ben ik een professionele danser!
Ik ben mijn hele leven al creaties aan het maken, op allerlei verschillende manieren, van schilderijen tot 3D animaties. Alles om mijn ideeën waar te kunnen maken! Ik had vorig jaar het idee om een korte dansfilm te maken om te experimenteren met digitale dans, en hoe veel er mogelijk was. Ik heb toen het geluk gehad om de apparatuur die de school al had te kunnen gebruiken. Later is mijn film vertoond op het Cinedans Film festival, in het EYE filmmuseum in Amsterdam. Het was een grote eer. Na het maken van de film kreeg ik meteen zin naar meer en ben ik begonnen met het plannen van de volgende film. Nu is het eindelijk zo ver, ik ga hem maken! wil jij mij daarmee helpen?

wat is het idee voor deze dansfilm?

Ik wil een dansfilm maken waarin ik de dans combineer met 3D animatie. De manier waarop dansers bewegen is voor mij een grote bron van inspiratie, deze inspiratie wil ik vastleggen in de vorm van een dansfilm. Met de mogelijkheid om 3D dans en digitale elementen toe te voegen aan de bewegingen van de dansers wordt er een nieuwe manier van hoe we dans ervaren gecreëerd. Met deze verrijking hoop ik een nieuw en groter publiek te bereiken. Veel mensen komen niet in aanraking met dans, ik hoop daar met deze korte dansfilm verandering in te brengen. In deze dansfilm wil ik de focus leggen op de beweging maar ook vooral de digitale beweging, en wat dit betekent voor de toekomst van dans.

plan van aanpak

Ik heb de de laatste jaren veel geëxperimenteerd met beweging naar de digitale dimensie te brengen. Dit deed ik met gebruik van een motion-capture pak, dit pak neemt je bewegingen op met sensors en ik krijg dan een 3D skelet terug waar ik geweldige karakters en werelden omheen kan bouwen.

mijn plan in het kort: ik begin met choreograferen, daarna leer ik de bewegingen aan de dansers van het gezelschap aan en gaan we het opnemen op een mooie locatie, ik hoop het historische theater van Bratislava. En daarna voeg ik de 3D elementen en 3D dans toe om alles samen te laten komen.

Om deze dansfilm te kunnen maken heb ik een nieuwe camera nodig die in een hoge resolutie met een mooie kwaliteit kan filmen. De camera die ik tot nu toe heb gebruikt voor projecten is bijna 10 jaar oud of geleend van de AHK. Dus nu is het de hoogste tijd voor een nieuw model. Ik hoop dat je mij een stapje verder kan helpen in het aanschaffen van deze camera!

Tegenprestaties!

Voor dit project heb ik zowel fysieke als digitale tegenprestaties ingesteld, het leek mij gepast om ook digitale tegenprestaties toe te voegen aangezien de film gaat over digitale dans! Who am I?

I am Wisse Scheele, a 19 year old dancer and artist with the National Ballet of Slovakia. I started dancing when I was 3, later I auditioned for the Dutch National ballet Academy and was accepted. Now, almost 10 years later I am a professional dancer!I've been making creations all my life, in all kinds of different ways, from paintings to 3D animations. Everything to make my ideas come to life! Last year I had the idea to make a short dance film, to experiment with digital dance and how much was possible. I was lucky enough to be able to use the equipment the school already had. Later my film was screened at the Cinedans Film festival, in the EYE film museum in Amsterdam. It was a great honor. After making the film I had immediately had the urge to create more and I started planning the next film. Now the time has finally come, I'm going to create it! Could you support me?

What is the idea for this dance film?

I want to make a dance film in which I combine dance with 3D animation. The way dancers move is a great source of inspiration for me, I want to capture this inspiration in the form of a dance film. With the ability to add 3D dance and digital elements to the dancers' movements, a new way of experiencing dance is created. With this enrichment I hope to reach a new and wider audience. Many people do not come in contact with dance, I hope to change that with this short dance film. In this dance film I want to put the focus on movement, but also especially the digital movement, and what this means for the future of dance.

The plan!

In recent years I have experimented a lot with bringing movement to the digital dimension. I did this using a motion-capture suit, this suit records your movements with sensors. I get a 3D skeleton back that I use to build awesome characters and worlds for.

the plan: I will start creating the choreography, then I teach the movements to the dancers of the company and we will record it in a beautiful location, I hope the historical theater of Bratislava. After this I will add the 3D elements and 3D dance to make it all come together.

To be able to make the dance film I need a new camera that is able to film in a high resolution with a nice quality. The camera that I have used for projects so far is almost 10 years old or borrowed from the AHK. So now it's time for a new model. I hope you can help me get a step closer to my goal!
