Carel the designer has been working hard in the last months to put everything together. Around a quarter of the book is now finished, we´re looking forward to the rest! Right now, we have to pick a title, but since Carel had plenty of good ideas I have a really hard time choosing :)

Sorry for the DIY setup on a gallery floor - I´m currently in residency in Scotland but wanted to share this with you since I love most of them! If you let me know in the coming days we can take your feedback into our final decision.

As soon as we know the date and place of the book launch this autumn (there´s probably going to be one in the Netherlands and one in Belgium), I´ll let you know and you will be invited.

Dear supporter,

Carel the graphic designer is very busy pouring images and text together, I´m very happy about the looks of it so far.

Turns out it´s going to be even more of a powerhouse than we thought: the estimated page number of the encyclopaedia currently ranges around 700 pages! A bit of an unexpected turn, but thanks to the support of the LUCA BreakOut funding the printing of this heavy baby is secured and if all goes smooth can happen in the upcoming months. Very grateful for the support.

Hi there,

Corona delayed some activities but now Carel the designer is back working on the design and we´re making decisions around the images that will be an important part of the Encyclopaedia. The concept of the book´s design is slowly taking form, always such a great process to follow! Here´s a little teaser of the current state of the Encyclopaedia for you, dear supporter - I´ll be back with some more sketches soon. Happy warm spring days to you!

Dear All,

I took a little time-out in the midst of nature to spend a few days on working intensely on the book. It is wonderful to have long uninterrupted days to write with full concentration, enjoying the quiet of this time of year with a tea next to the fire.

By now, all my little notes, thoughts and ideas have found their home in the book, in a way that feels good for me and hopefully for you, too! The next step is to shorten it tremendously because it has not stopped evolving but still needs to fit into the original budget :)

I wish all of you a peaceful, healthy and warm beginning of this year. May your resolutions be soft and kind.

Hi there dear art supporters,

I am very happy to tell you the campaign just reached 90%! What a great way to start the weekend. I´m spending the last three days flooding everyone´s inboxes to make sure this book becomes a reality.

For the last 10%, I´m adding three postcards with works of mine to every donation, so if you know someone who might be interested, make sure they know this is the time to have their name eternalised in the Encyclopaedia!

The deadline (let´s call it a life-line, it´s the start of something beautiful after all) is Monday 11pm. I´m confident we´ll get there but of course it´s still an effort. You liking and sharing posts can make all the difference, here´s an invite to do that and help me spread the word everywhere. We´re almost there!

Dear supporters,

I have received many warm words from you together with your donations, It´s very uplifting and gives me the energy I need to race through the nerve-wracking last week during which usually a lot of last-minute donations come in. The difficult times we live in influence this campaign, too - donations trickle in but slowly, it is of course not the easiest time to ask people to support the arts. So my gratitude goes out to everyone who decided in the last week to do it anyway, it means the world to me!

Last week was the last public moment of this crowdfunding, I did a reading/gathering in Jesse Jones´magnificent work ´Syllabus` at Kunsthal Ghent. It was a beautiful evening during which we read in the Encyclopaedia, discussed and shared our thoughts around knowledge, belief, truth and certainty. Thank you to all who came!

If I´m lucky enough to raise the last 1684 € needed, the book will be there for real! This is the time to mobilise everything and everyone to make some magic happen - if it resonates with you, please support the campaign by sharing it with people you thing might be interested. These last days count most, go go gooooo!

Last weekend, I presented the Encyclopaedia at The Green Corridor, a new art space in Brussels. We had a wonderful evening reading together and discussing and sharing. I am now preparing a reading at Kunsthal next Thursday in Ghent, please feel welcome to join if you are around.

We are slowly approaching the end race, so much work for me in the coming days! If you know anyone who might be interested, please share, and as always: liking and commenting on social media helps me reach more people (if that is your cup of tea).

After the first wave of donations, as expected, it got a bit more quiet. The crowdfunding is now at 27% . Very heartwarming to hear from people I haven´t met in a long time - hank you all for your support!
I have been busy preparing an exhibition that will open this Friday at The Green Corridor in Brussels, a lovely new art space in St.Gilles, and contacting many, many people. The editor, The Eriskay connection, will spread the campaign as well on their channels. Three more weeks to go!
