Het Pelargos Quartet wenst de aangrijpende voorstelling "Intieme Brieven" te delen met een groter publiek. Voor het realiseren van dit project hebben we uw hulp nodig!

Wie zijn wij?

Wij zijn het Pelargos Quartet. We komen uit Den Haag en spelen sinds 2016 samen als vast strijkkwartet. Als ensemble is ons doel om voorstellingen te creëren die afwijken van de klassieke concertvorm. Momenteel zijn we bezig met het realiseren van een concertreeks, waarin we ons meest recente meeslepende voorstelling “Intieme Brieven” spelen.

De voorstelling

Intieme Brieven is een voorstelling waarin intimiteit en de zoektocht naar verbinding centraal staat. Drie verschillende eeuwen, drie verschillende werelden, die allemaal nauw met elkaar verbonden zijn. Door muziek en tekst weergeven we de zoektocht naar intimiteit.

Beethoven voelde zich eenzaam door zijn doofheid, Janáček voelde zich alleen met zijn gevoelens voor Kamila en componiste Kruusmaa en het Pelargos Quartet waren gedwongen alleen te zijn vanwege de lockdown. De voorstelling brengt al deze aspecten samen door middel van muziek en het voordragen van brieven. Het zet aan het denken en biedt ons wellicht een nieuw perspectief.

Om deze voorstelling te kunnen realiseren hebben we u nodig via voordekunst! We willen graag crowdfunden voor dit project om de huur van de locaties en promotiemateriaal etc. te kunnen betalen. Dus, met de hulp van crowdfunding van het publiek, hopen we dat waar te kunnen maken!

The Pelargos Quartet wishes to share the moving performance "Intimate Letters" with a wider audience. In order to realise this project we need your help!

Who are we?

We are the Pelargos Quartet. We are from The Hague and have been playing together as a string quartet since 2016. Our goal as an ensemble is to create performances that adopt a new way of performing, different from the classical concert form. Currently we are working on realising a concert series, in which we will play our most recent compelling performance "Intimate Letters".

The performance

Intimate Letters is a performance in which intimacy and the search for connection are central. Three different centuries, three different worlds, which are all closely connected. Through music and text we reflect the search for intimacy.

Beethoven felt lonely because of his deafness, Janáček felt alone with his feelings for Kamila and composer Kruusmaa and the Pelargos Quartet were forced to be alone because of the lockdown. The performance brings all these aspects together through music and text. It makes us think and perhaps offers us a new perspective.
