Something that’s always been a dream of mine is to release my music on vinyl, it is just so costly to produce if you are an independent artist. I absolutely love listening to music through my old record player as it gives an intimate and ‘real’ sound that fills the room differently. I’ve decided since the crowdfunding is going really well that now is the best time to try this! My name is Karlijn Langendijk and I'm a 26-year old guitarist and composer from the Netherlands. The past couple of years I’ve been composing a collection of solo songs for acoustic guitar with the goal of my debut solo album in mind. Unfortunately when I was finally ready to record them in the studio, the pandemic happened. For a long length of time I decided to wait with releasing this album until touring would be possible again, but I realised that people need music now more than ever. So even though I can't play a release tour for this album at the moment, I am overly excited to still share these compositions with you in every other way possible.

This album will contain 11 original compositions characterised by a unique mixture of classical and modern fingerstyle techniques. It’s a collection of my personal experiences expressed through music - a journey through significant life events and fascinations. Throughout the CD there is a diversity of intimate ballads and rhythmical odd-meter songs. Some I’ve played live before, and others have never been shared.

To be able to finance the album costs I am asking for your help. With barely any income from concerts the past 2 years, I would be incredibly thankful if you chose to support this project.
The money you contribute goes towards studio costs, mixing & mastering, manufacturing the CDs and developing the album artwork.
