Goodmorning everyone, I hope you are all well!

I am very excited to announce that the the design of Blue Hours has been finalized and is now on the way to the press! This means it will be published two to three weeks from now, and you will receive it shortly after that. Even more exciting is that I will be able to offer an even more substantial book then anticipated!

After advice from collectors, curators and designers, the book has grown from 30x30 to 30x37,5, expanding slightly in the vertical direction. It is also a bit thicker, at 80 vs 60 pages, with an additional 14 images. The edition has been slightly extended as well, from a 150 to 200 copies due to high demand, but do not worry: this will remain the first and last edition, and the limited edition and prints remain the same in exclusivity. The cover has also been slightly upgraded with a darker blue leatherette to bring out the gold tones of the images and text even more. I am very excited about the final design and can't wait for you to hold it!

There will be an event to celebrate the launch and an opportunity to see some of these images in large print in a little over a month from now. But before that happens, you will already receive the book. As my earliest backers, getting this in your hands is the top priority. Somewhere in the upcoming week you will receive an e-mail (coupled with an extra reminder via this update system) with a website link where you'll be able to finalize your order, pay for shipping and confirm your adress. This way, I can assure the fastest delivery, so you will have it in your hands while the ink is barely dry.

Hi all,

Thanks to your amazing support, Blue Hours has hit a 100%. This means that the book is officially fully funded, and will soon be produced! To publish a book showcasing new work and a new direction feels daring at any time, but now especially. I'm incredibly grateful for your support and wanted to reach out straight away to update you on what's next.

Over the coming month, the design will be finalized and the book will be produced. While the internal design of the book and the images are all done, I have received some feedback that I want to fully consider, and am still playing with the cover design and production format. Hitting a 100% means that I have all the freedom to make this book the absolute best it can be! I will provide updates on the production and design through both my instagram and this message system.

After that it will go to print, and then I will be signing and posting all the books to you as soon as possible. I expect to be able to ship the book between late March and early April. You will receive an e-mail one to two weeks in advance detailing instructions how to finalize your order. If you have any questions about the book beforehand, please do not hesitate to contact me! I am currently still working on a concept for a release party, but will have to await Covid19 regulations to see what is possible. I would to provide the option for you to meet me and get your book signed face to face, but only time will tell whether this is possible. I will keep you all updated!

Hi everyone,

I feel incredibly blessed to announce that Blue Hours has just hit the 80% funded mark!

This means that, with your permission, I can produce the book with the donations I have gotten! While 80% instead of a 100% does mean I have to cover some costs upfront myself, I am confident that with this amount I can make 'Blue Hours' a reality in exactly the form I had in mind: a premium, leatherette bound coffee table book with the highest quality paper and printing.

I am incredibly grateful for your support and feel privileged that you have given me the opportunity to present new work and connect with a new audience in a time of distance and isolation.

This does not mean however that all our work here is done! The closer we get to a 100%, the easier it will be for me to distribute the book.

A certain release also means the next step: production and promotion. I have some very exciting news regarding the official launch of the book that I hope I will be able to share soon, but till then, I want to ask you all to continue spreading the word about 'Blue Hours', so we can reach as much people as possible!

At time of writing, Blue Hours is 38% funded. I am incredibly thrilled with your support and belief in this project. These are tough times for many, emotionally and financially, so it means a lot that you have found my project to be worth the investment!

Your enthusiasm in spreading the word, and your encouraging reactions to my work are also heartwarming. It is always a bit scary to present new work, especially when it is close to my heart and somewhat different from what I have done before. Blue Hours covers my journey during a time of isolation, and is about trying to find and share the beauty in loneliness, and to be able to share this journey and the beauty I found with a community is what this book is all about.
