Wat betekent het om queer te zijn in de hedendaagse maatschappij? Wat is onze identiteit in deze wereld ? Waar ligt de toekomst? Is deze maakbaar?
Supernature is de maand februari artist in residence op de Savage Ranch van Love Bailey in Californië. Hier gaan wij onze nieuwe wereld vormgeven, zowel visueel als auditief.
Supernature is een queer collectief uit Amsterdam
Het begon allemaal met Adonis op Lowlands.
Vanuit Lowlands zijn onze grote Supernature evenementen The Station gekomen en inmiddels vertegenwoordigen wij een eigenzinnige queer visie op verschillende festivals en locaties.
Supernature goes to California
Met dit project gaan wij met internationale makers onze wereld verder vormgeven, om het uiteindelijke audiovisuele werk te presenteren in Amsterdam. Wij willen specifiek met Love Bailey, visueel kunstenaar, werken omdat zij de belichaming is van haar eigen maakbaarheid.
Door onze werelden samen te laten komen, gaan wij voorbij geografische grenzen en maatschappelijke dogma’s. Wij maken met elkaar en de natuur deze nieuwe wereld tastbaar. Hiervoor gaan wij interdisciplinair te werk en ontwikkelen samen een audiovisueel werk.
We komen terug met eigen muziek en beeld en presenteren dit tijdens de Pride editie van ons evenement The Station, op 1 augustus 2020.
Supernature needs you!
Om dit project te realiseren hebben wij subsidie ontvangen van het AFK, maar om de kosten dekkend te maken hebben we ook deze crowdfund opgezet. Met jullie hulp kunnen wij in Californië de benodigde apparatuur huren, lokale artiesten vergoeden, een presentatie halverwege organiseren en het produceren van de lancering op 1 augustus 2020.
Door ons te helpen kan je onder andere een lowlands ticket bemachtigen en ons zien in de Adonis. Of kom naar onze Spring edition van The Station in Lofi Amsterdam op 21 maart.

What does it mean to be queer in contemporary society? What is our identity in this world? What does the future look like? Can we influence this process?
Supernature will be artists in residence at the Savage Ranch of Love Bailey in California in February. Here we will further shape our world, both visually and audibly.
Supernature is a queer collective from Amsterdam
It all started with Adonis at Lowlands. From there, our large Supernature events The Station at Lofi began and now we represent a quirky queer vision at various festivals and locations throughout the country.
Supernature goes to California
With this project we will further shape our world with international makers, to present the final audiovisual work in Amsterdam. We want to work specifically with Love Bailey, visual artist, because she is the embodiment of her own manufacturability.
By bringing our worlds together, we go beyond geographical boundaries and social dogmas. We make this new world tangible with each other and with nature. For this we work interdisciplinary and develop an audiovisual work together.
We will return with our own music and images and present this during the Pride edition of our event The Station, on August 1st 2020.
Supernature needs you!
We have received a grant from the AFK (Amsterdam Art Fund) to realize this project, but we have also set up this crowdfund to cover all the costs. With your help we can rent the necessary equipment in California, reimburse local artists, organize a presentation halfway through in LA and produce the launch on August 1st 2020 in Amsterdam.
