WHAT? —
We are BODY ALUMNI, a group of individual young designers that recently graduated from the Maastricht Academy for Fine Arts & Design (MAFAD). Our approach is to examine the in-betweens of the human body, fashion, material and the environment.
All the individual works of our group, visually as different as possible, deal with the same themes at the end of the day: We are operating between abyss and luxury, culture and identity, body and mind; Continuously questioning the role of the designer in today’s times.
FASHIONCLASH Festival [FCF] gives us, the BODY ALUMNI, the opportunity to showcase our work at November 2nd 2019 in the context of a not-so-traditional catwalk performance. FCF is an international and interdisciplinary fashion festival from Maastricht, where young designers and artists from various disciplines are given the opportunity to show their work.
Nevertheless, this is also associated with financial expenditure. Your donation will be used to fund our participation in the Fashionclash Festival with our own show. The past few months we, BODY ALUMNI, started raising money by volunteering at Fashionclash events and projects. With this we already raised almost €2000! But we need your help with the remaining €6000!
Due to a later date of payment the campaign will run until after the event has taken place.
By showing our collection on this established platform, we will lay the foundation for our professional future in the creative field!
See what your donation has realized by coming to our show during the FASHIONCLASH Festival, at the 2nd of November 2019.
Hopefully see you there!
WHY? —
FASHIONCLASH believes passionately in the crucial contribution the creative industries make to society, culture and economy. And so do we! Your financial contribution would allow us to gain a foothold into the large, renowned network of FASHIONCLASH, consequently to a global network of contacts within the fashion-related creative industry.
FCF 2019 (1st-3rd November 2019) is already the 11th edition, so they built up a good reputation in the scene. Since 2009 FASHIONCLASH has realized numerous successful projects and offered the stage to over 1000 talents in The Netherlands, but also in Brazil, South-Africa, China, Poland, Czech Republic, Belgium, Germany, Portugal, Serbia and Italy. They connect, innovate, organize, present and challenge young designers. As we have just graduated, we kindly ask your support for this unique opportunity!
