ABOUT US:
We are Golden Caves, a progressive rock band from The Netherlands. Our music contains a dynamic mix of progrock with alternative influences and an infectious pop edge. Influences: A Perfect Circle, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Radiohead and London Grammar.
In 2017 we released our debut album ‘Collision’, which led to several significant shows such as Progdreams, Summer’s End Festival, ProgPower Europe and Prognosis Festival. Last year we did a tour in the UK. Since ‘Collision’ we shared the stage with bands such as Focus, Panic Room, Mostly Autumn, Tesseract, Devin Townsend and many more.
After we finished promoting ‘Collision’, we felt the need to take our songwriting process a step further. And so we hit the rehearsal studio again to write new material.
NEW ALBUM:
During the writing sessions we drew inspiration from the fundamental clash between reason and the world of emotions.
Soundwise, expect a unique alternative prog sound as well as statements of various pop-edged melodies. New songs have already been played live and got very positively mentioned in several reviews, such as in ‘PROG' magazine.
YOUR HELP:

Wij zijn Golden Caves, een progressieve rockband uit Rotterdam. We maken een dynamische mix van progrock met alternatieve invloeden en een catchy poprandje. Invloeden: A Perfect Circle, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Radiohead and London Grammar.
In 2017 hebben we ons debuutalbum ‘Collision’ uitgebracht, wat heeft geleid tot shows op grote festivals zoals onder andere Progdreams, Summer’s End Festival, ProgPower Europe en Prognosis Festival. Vorig jaar hebben we door de UK getourd. We stonden onder meer met bands als Focus, Panic Room, Mostly Autum, Tesseract, Devin Townsend op het podium.
Nadat we de tour naar aanleiding van ‘Collision’ hadden afgerond, wilden we ons schrijfproces een stap verder brengen. Dus zijn we opnieuw de repetitieruimte ingegaan om materiaal te componeren.
NIEUW ALBUM:
Tijdens de schrijfsessies hebben we inspiratie gehaald uit de fundamentele clash tussen verstand en emoties.
Op het nieuwe album kun je zowel een unieke alternatieve progsound als pop-achtige melodieën verwachten. Een aantal songs van het nieuwe album hebben we al live gespeeld en die werden in diverse recensies zeer positief ontvangen, zoals in het blad 'PROG' magazine.
