Graduation collection Mickey Nerrings.

As a Fashion design student at Willem de Kooning Academy I am asking you for your help to partially fund my graduation collection. My aim is to raise awareness in society about the LGBTQ+ community still not being accepted.

With this crowdfunding I want to show everybody what is happening in the world. Also with doing so you can support me as an autonomous fashion designer to create my graduation fashion collection and make the right impact for this important message to be heard.

STOP THE VIOLENCE

Because of the inflicted violence and intolerance I came to the idea of making clothing for the LGBTQ+ community that will create awareness about what it’s like to live in this world as a LGBTQ+ person. To create this awareness I need collaboration. That is why I also decided to work together with other young professionals in the fashion industry who will help me accomplish and make all garments. In this way the collection can be convincingly put together to achieve a great end result.

The young professionals:

The very talented young professionals are Sasha van Gastel and Roel van Berkel. Sasha will develop the patterns and Roel will develop the shoes I designed. If I hadn’t convinced them of my vision it would have been a lot more difficult to achieve my goals. That’s why I would like to financially support them. At this moment they do everything for free.

The collection will consist of eleven outfits with shoes and bags designed by me included. Your funding will also be used for fabrics, production costs, styling and photography purposes.

Festival International de Mode - Photographie in Hyères
With this collection I want to compete at Festival International de Mode - Photographie in Hyères in the South of France next season. This is a prestigious prize in the fashion industry. As a fashion designer it is important to dream big, but to try te realise some of these dreams as well. That’s why I want to make this dream come true when I am graduated. In this way I hope to show my work and vision to other talented fashion designers in the near future.

Als Fashion design student aan Willem de Kooning Academie vraag ik uw bijdrage voor mijn afstudeercollectie. Mijn doel: De maatschappij een spiegel voor houden en laten zien dat de LGBTQ+ gemeenschap nog steeds niet wordt geaccepteerd. "

Met deze crowfunding wil ik ten eerste iedereen bewuster maken van wat er gebeurt in de wereld. Bovendien kunt u mij als autonoom fashion designer steunen een eindcollectie te realiseren die de juiste impact geeft om deze belangrijke boodschap over te brengen.

Vanwege deze intolerantie ben ik op het idee gekomen om een kleding collectie te ontwikkelen die meer bewustwoording creëerd voor wat de LGBTQ+ gemeenschap . Voor bewustwoording is samenwerking nodig, daarom besloot ik om met mijn eindcollectie ook samen te gaan werken met andere young professionals uit het modevak die samen met mij alle kledingstukken gaan realiseren. Zo kan de collectie overtuigend neergezet worden en wordt de juiste energie gebruikt om tot een geweldig eindresultaat te komen.

De getalenteerde young professionals zijn Sasha van Gastel en Roel van Berkel. Sasha richt zich op het ontwikkelen van de patronen en Roel focust zich op het ontwikkelen van de ontworpen schoenen. Als ik hen niet mee had kunnen krijgen in mijn visie, was de realisatie van deze eindcollectie minder haalbaar geweest. Daarom zou ik hen ook graag financieel willen steunen, omdat ze op dit moment alles vrijwillig voor mij doen.

De collectie zal bestaan uit 11 outfits, inclusief door mij ontworpen schoenen en tassen. Uw bijdrage zal ook gebruikt worden om materialen, productiekosten, styling en de fotografie te verzorgen.

Met deze collectie wil ik volgend seizoen mijzelf inschrijven bij Festival International de Mode - Photographie in Hyères, Zuid Frankrijk. Een prestigieuze prijs in de mode wereld. Als fashion designer is het belangrijk om groot te dromen, maar ook deze dromen te realiseren. Daarom wil ik na mijn afstuderen deze droom werkelijkheid maken en mijn focus leggen op deze wedstrijd waar ik hopelijk met andere getalenteerde fashion designers mijn werk kan laten zien.
