What is MouseEar?
MouseEar Concerts (named after the style of damper used by the Ruckers) was launched in 2018 by two exceptional keyboardists, Menno van Delft and Artem Belogurov, who sought to establish a regular series in Amsterdam with tailor-made combinations of artists, repertoire, instruments, and venues. The Curious Listener will be invited into novel spaces in and around Amsterdam (refurbished factories, historic homes, art galleries) where both established and emerging artists will present innovative programs, often in combination with other disciplines such as literature, film, and dance. These fusions will celebrate the electrifying intimacy of live performance, Amsterdam’s many identities, and the rich tradition of early music, forging a path for its continued development into the twenty-first century.

What's next?
After two successful initial events, MouseEar has crafted an exciting 2019-2020 season: harpsichord virtuoso Pierre Hantaï with an all-Bach program in the Anatomical Theatre in De Waag; campaign release celebration with new-music specialist Goska Isphording with a program for harpsichord and electronics at the Looiersgracht 60 modern art gallery on March 7th, 2020; Joshua Cheatham (gamba) and Skip Sempé (harpsichord) with music for viola da gamba and harpsichord in the historic Huis Akerendam in Beverwijk on June 5th, 2020; and Artem Belogurov and Menno van Delft presenting little-known gems from the musical archives of Christopher Hogwood on harpsichord, fortepiano, and organ from their forthcoming CD in the stunning surroundings of a location to be announced on June 11th, 2020.
Get involved!
To realise this ambitious vision, MouseEar needs your help! We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to fund this first season. Your contribution will help cover expenses such as artist fees, venue rental fees, instrument rental and transport, program printing, etc. The success of this first season is integral to the future of MouseEar: every contribution counts toward ensuring we can continue to create unique and innovative musical experiences, particularly ones that reach new audiences and draw in younger listeners.
