WAT IS "VOICE"?

Een nieuw multimedia performance door Andrea Hackl Projects en samenwerkingspartners met een volledig vrouwelijk team uit verschillende disciplines: dans, performance, video, installatie, muziek, geluidskunst, stem/tekst/gedichten.
- unieke kunstenaars met ieder een eigen artistieke stem.

WELKOM!

Mijn naam is Andrea Hackl. Ik ben een choreografe, danseres en videokunstenaar, woonachtig in Amsterdam. Ik ben gepassioneerd voor wat ik doe: werk met dans en performance. Multidisciplinair werk en de alchemie die ontstaat wanneer kunstenaars uit verschillende disciplines samenwerken, inspireren me. Op dit moment organiseer ik een nieuw project met internationale kunstenaars en een team vrouwen.

Voor VOICE gaan we het thema lichaamsgeheugen onderzoeken, als ook de wijsheid van het lichaam.
We gaan op reis door ons lichaam als door een psychologisch landschap. We bezoeken en passeren verschillende delen van ons lichaam waar emoties, gevoelens en herinneringen opgeslagen liggen.
Dit onderzoek wordt omarmd door het thema van "womanhood", vrouwelijkheid, de relatie met onze moeders, en de kracht die we als vrouwen in ons.

PROJECT TRAJECT:

FASE 1: We hebben de geweldige mogelijkheid om met dit project bij Schloss Broellin aan de slag te gaan. - een zeer inspirerende locatie en de perfecte ruimte om je te concentreren op dit creatieve proces.

FASE 2: We zullen dit werk in Amsterdam voortzetten (eind 2019 / begin 2020) om het hier uit te voeren en daarbuiten.

Samen met jouw steun, kunnen wij dit unieke project laten slagen. Bedankt!

WAAROM STEUNEN?

....omdat dit werk de huidige tijdgeest ademt.

...omdat het belangrijk is om bij te dragen aan een dialoog rond vrouwelijkheid en om ons perspectief te vergroten over wat het betekent.

....ondanks dat dit onderzoek tijdloos is, is het een thema dat door de tijd heen constant onderzocht zal worden om de dialoog levend te houden.

....ingebed en actief in deze tijd, makers en performers die hun werk tonen, hebben wij die mogelijkheid om een actieve rol te spelen in een collectief moment.

Ik kijk er naar uit om samen te werken met een groep van geweldige, krachtige, creatieve en innovatieve vrouwen.

WAAR GAAT UW STEUN NAAR TOE?

Betaling van de werk van de gehele team en van de kunstenaars voor hun unieke werk, de choreografie en compositie;

Daarnaast zijn er kosten zoals reis- en verblijfskosten van de artiesten als ook voor de costumes en documentatie, flyers.

Hoe ik persoonlijk geïnteresseerd werd in dit thema:

BODY MEMORY:

…aan de ene kant onderzocht ik aanvankelijk het thema angst en de manier waarop het in verschillende delen van ons lichaam woont of tot uiting komt, en ook hoe angst verschillend beweegt binnen die uiteenlopende lichaamsdelen.

Waar bevinden emoties zich in ons lichaam en hoe beweegt het of hoe worden we erdoor in beweging gezet?

…aan de andere kant, om erachter te komen, te weten dat mijn ouders dezelfde lichaamsconditie hebben als ikzelf, en misschien generaties daarvoor, voelde als of mijn lichaam niet helemaal van mijzelf was. Het voelde alsof een imprint van ooit me bewoont en beïnvloedt.

WOMANHOOD:

Ik ben een vrouw en ik omarm een ​​vrouw te zijn en koester de kracht die we als vrouwen in ons dragen. Sinds ongeveer een jaar voel ik de wens om een ​​werk over / met / door vrouwen te creëren.
Om het vrouwzijn, het vrouwelijke, de creatieve kracht, de "oceaan in ons" te vieren. - dit verlangen kwam eerst naar voren toen zittend voor de zee. Ik voelde de diepe wens om te werken met het thema van de vrouw en met en groep van vrouwelijke kunstenaars.

WHAT IS VOICE?

…..a new multimedia performance project with an all female team, 3 dancers & a video as well as sound artist.

…..it’s an exciting collaboration of artists of different disciplines and media:
dance, performance, video, installation, music, sound art, voice / text / poetry

…..a celebration of womanhood and the power that we carry inside of ourselves as woman.

….an exploration of the body as psychological landscape, a dialogue with “voices” of our (hi)story that live still within us.

WELCOME!

My name is Andrea Hackl. I am a choreographer, dancer and video artist based in Amsterdam. I am passionate about what I do. Dance and performance keep on inspiring me. Equally, I love multi-disciplinary work and cherish the alchemy that happens when artists from different disciplines collaborate.

Currently I am organizing VOICE a new multimedia performance project and for this project I am going to collaborate with an international, artistic team of women. - every one a very special artist.

We are going to travel through our body as landscape of our psychology, visiting and passing through different spaces within our body where emotions, feelings and memories live. We'll look into personal as well as collective memory which leaves its traces, the voices of the stories which continue to speak within us.

This exploration is going to be embraced by the theme of womanhood, embracing and celebrating womanhood, female essence, our relationship with our mothers and also the power that we carry inside of us as women.

PROJECT TRAJECTORY:

PHASE 1: We have the amazing possibility to start working on this project at Schloss Broellin - a very inspiring location and the perfect space to deeply focus on this creative process.

PHASE 2: We will continue this work in Amsterdam (end 2019 / beg 2020) to perform it here, tour it in Holland and hopefully beyond.

WHY SUPPORT VOICE?

....because this work breathes with and responds to the Zeitgeist.

....because it's beautiful and necessary to contribute to a dialogue around womanhood and to expand our perspective of what it means.

....as much as this exploration is a timeless subject; as much as I assume that, throughout all times, women will keep on exploring it, keeping a dialogue around it alive, letting the meaning of womanhood expand, I feel, it is the moment to celebrate the power of women, the feminine and womanhood.

....because embedded and active in these times, as makers and performers who put their work “out there” and go on stage, we have a responsibility or, at least, the wonderful possibility to play an active role in a collective movement and give a voice to the spirit of the time.

I am excited about the possibility to collaborate with a group of such amazing, powerful, creative, innovative women who are such special human beings.

WHAT IS YOUR SUPPORT USED FOR?

-> the payment of the artists' unique work: the choreography, the composition and video work, the work of the entire team.

-> production costs such as travel costs and expenses for costumes.

-> documentation of the performance (a necessity to promote it further and let it live on) + PR material such as flyers.

HOW DID I PERSONALLY GET INTERESTED IN THESE THEMES?

BODY MEMORY:

....on the one side, when first exploring “fear” and the way in which it can inhabit or can express itself through different spaces / parts of our body; looking into how, in those different spaces, fear might move differently.

Where does an emotion / memory sit and how does it (make us) move?

….on the other side, having a health condition which, as far as I know, also my parents have and, possibly, generations before that. When I realized this, it felt as if my body wasn’t entirely my own, as if inhabited by some imprint from before.

WOMANHOOD

I am a woman and I embrace being a woman and cherish the power that as women we carry within ourselves.

Since about one year, I’ve been feeling the desire to create a work about / with / by women. To celebrate womanhood, the feminine, the creative power, the ocean within us. - this desire came up first when, in fact, sitting in front of the sea. I felt the deep wish to work with the theme of womanhood and with fellow, female artists.

ANDREA HACKL is based in Austria and the Netherlands and works as choreographer, dancer and teacher as well as video artist.

She cherishes the power and poetry of dance in its physicality & is most of all a celebration of life. Her artistic practice and research is inspired by cross-pollination & the alchemy of collaborations and interdisciplinary work. Her understanding of dance & movement got formed, enriched and deepened by conventional techniques as much as somatic and sensorial work.

She has produced various dance films and is exploring the medium of installation and hybrid installation performances. She has danced with companies & choreographers like Jasper van Luijk, Cascade Dance Theater, Emanuel Gat Dance, United C, Suzy Blok and toured major venues and festivals world- wide. Her own work has been shown internationally, in Europe/Scandinavia,North/Central America, S/E Asia & India.

ANDREA HACKL is gevestigd in Oostenrijk en Nederland en werkzaam als choreografe, zowel danseres, video-artiest en docent. Ze heeft een passie voor de poëzie en de kracht die te vinden is in dans en haar werk viert het leven.
Als choreografe is haar onderzoek en werk geïnspireerd door de alchemie van interdisciplinair werk. Haar begrip van dans en beweging werdt gevormd, verrijkt door zowel conventionele technieken als het somatische en zintuiglijke werk.
Ze heeft een deel van haar werk gemaakt door middel van het gebruik van wetenschappelijk onderzoek (meestal evoluerend rond het thema van de natuurlijke relaties van de mens) en heeft diverse films geproduceerd. Ze is bezig met te onderzoeken van het medium installatie en hybride installatie performances. Ze danste in opdracht van bedrijven en met choreografen als Jasper van Luijk, Cascade Dans Theater, Emanuel Gat Dance, Verenigde C, Suzy Blok en toerde grote podia en festivals wereldwijde. Haar eigen werk is internationaal getoond, in Europa / Scandinavië, Noord / Midden-Amerika, S / E-Azië en India.

JILL CROVISIER

JILL CROVISIER is a dancer, choreographer, graduated dance teacher, film producer and founder of the JC movement production.

Jill has worked around the globe in works among others by Anu Sistonen, Oz Mulay or Liat Kedem. Choreography: Jill created R!CE, We are We, Zement, Zement the solo, The Hidden Garden, SIEBEN and the children’s piece MATKA. Since 2013 Jill works also in the production of short dance films and since 2015 she is involved in dance therapy projects.

In 2017 Jill got selected with Zement, the solo at Lucky Trimmer, at the Hannover Choreographic Competition, at Gdanski solo competition, won a prize at the Solocoreografico in Italy and won the CICC Taiwan production award at the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition. In 2018 Jill choreographed NO MAN’S LAND for the B.DANCE company in Taiwan and choreographed a commissioned work for a Master degree exam at the Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2019 she is retransmitting The Hidden Garden as part of the postgraduate exam at SEAD Austria. Her recent short dance film d a n s is part of the Loop exhibition of Rotondes (LU). Currently Jill dances for Cie Mirage (FR) and Hannah Ma dance (DE) and tours her works world wide. Jill has recently received a price of Honour from the city of Rumelange, Luxembourg for her achievements as a dancer and choreographer.

Jill Crovisier is een danseres, choreografe, dansdocent, filmproducent en oprichter van de JC beweging productie.

Jill studeerde cum laude af in ballet en moderne dans aan het Conservatorium van muziek in Esch / Alzette, voordat ze door selectie naar de EU en China Art school Beijing georganiseerd door de British Council of Arts in 2005 ging, was ze lid van de 'Weis dance people' toen ze 18 was en bleef dans studeren daarna in Frankrijk, NYC, Israël en Indonesië. Als freelance danseres, heeft Jill gewerkt over de hele wereld in samenwerking methet werk van onder anderen Anu Sistonen, Oz Mulay of Liat Kedem. Choreografie: Jill gecreëerd R CE, We are We, Zement, Zement the solo, The Hidden Garden, SIEBEN en het kinderwerk MATKA . Sinds 2013 werkt Jill ook in de productie van korte dansfilms. Sinds 2015 is ze betrokken bij danstherapie projecten.

ANGELA LINSSEN

ANGELA LINSSEN graduated at the Rotterdam Dance academy and worked as a professional dancer and choreographer from 1978 till 1991. She worked with Bianca van Dillen, Jean Claude Galotta, Mirjam Berns, Angels Margarit, Deborah Hay and theatre directors as Jan Ritsema, Sam Bogaerts, and Erik de Kuyper. Linssen has created numerous pieces in the Netherlands and abroad and worked in the dance collectives “Vals Bloed” en" het Concern". In 2008 she initiated and performed her solo program “ Trisoli” with works of Jan Ritsema, Angels Margarit and Paul Selwyn Norton.

She took part in “Please me Please” next to Amy Gale - the duet of Liat Waysbort that premiered in October 2015

Angela has been teaching contemporary dance technique in the Netherlands and internationally. She teaches at the Modern Theatre Dance (MTD) department since 1989. In 2000 Angela Linssen became the artistic director of the Modern Theater Dance department of the AHK, where she developed the program towards a contemporary dance education.

She finished the Master Education in Arts(AHK) in 2016. Next to that she has been part of boards and advising funding committees in the art field, such as FAPK and RRKC in the Netherlands, accreditation committee of Parts (Belgium) and the master educations in Frankfurt and Cologne in Germany.

ncern. In 2008 initieerde en danste zij haar soloprogramma “Trisoli” met stukken van Jan Ritsema, Angels Margarit en Paul Selwyn Norton. Samen met Amy Gale danste zij in “Please me Please” the duet van Liat Waysbort dat in 2015 in premiere ging.

Angela heeft in binnen en buitenland les gegeven en geeft sinds 1989 les bij de Moderne Theater Dans opleiding (AHK). Sinds 2000 is zij artistiek leider van de MTD waar zij de opleiding ontwikkelde tot een hedendaagse dansopleiding.

In 2016 sloot ze haar Master Kunsteducatie (AHK) af.

Over de jaren heen nam ze deel aan verschillende commissies zoals de FAPK, RRKC, accreditatie Parts (Brussel), en HfMDK Frankfurt.

VERONICA MOTA

Verónica Mota is a professional sound artist currently working in Berlin. Her works encompass analogue and digital synthesis, field recordings and Musique Concrète techniques, often displaying her proficiency at playing a variety of instruments. She has produced a large body of soundtrack work for Radio, film and performance, and, with Cubop & Espectra Negra, as a solo artist in her own right.Verónica Mota is also the founder and curator behind Urban Arts Berlin, a non-profit arts organization based in Berlin, Germany. She works at bringing together excellent talents from all over the world. Her experience and hard work have found a fantastic global resonance in the field of sonic art. She has become one of the most important curators for supporting international female composers and musicians in Berlin. She does not, however, exclude male artists.

Urban Arts Berlin Radio is one of Mota's newer current projects where she presents and promotes the work of sound artists she has released under the Urban Arts Berlin label. Particularly relevant for her radio show is her excellent project Synthesis with two Volumes and a total of 75 sound works by professional composers -with a strong female presence- from all over the world. Urban Arts Berlin Radio is streamed in three platforms including Radio Resonance Extra in the United Kingdom, The Pi Radio Verbund Network and Urban Arts Berlin in Germany.Since 2016 she has also been a member of The Ready Orchestra which brings together 21 female soloists based in Berlin with a Classic, Electronic, Electro-acoustic and Experimental background.At present Veró nica Mota is working on more ambitious projects which bring together live sound, vocalism, visuals and body art performance.

Verónica Mota is een professionele geluidskunstenaar die momenteel in Berlijn werkt.
