About the project

Trace: verb.to Find or Discover. noun. A path or track. This word sums up perfectly what this program is about: a journey of discovery.
In“Traces”, we set out to piece together what is in our identity, our music and our approach, delving deep into our stories of growth and accomplishments. We have chosen to record this program on CD. A way to honor precious memories and to make our debut as an international chamber music ensemble a reality.

About us
We are the Ardemus Quartet. Four musicians from four different countries united by chamber music.
Based in Amsterdam, we have performed across Europe and forged a strong bond through our styles of communication, closing the gap between our worlds and bringing new experiences to our audiences.
Four years gone by in a blink of an eye. We would like to share with you our story. To go on a journey of self reflection and explore the possibilities that the saxophone quartet has to offer.
Since our inception, we have been very active on the Dutch chamber music scene, frequently heard on NPO radio 4 and have appeared on TV programs such as "Podium Witteman" and "Tijd van Max". As one of the laureates of the prestigious "Dutch Classical talent award & tour", we toured the Netherlands with our program/production "you've been talking in your sleep" with great success.
Internationally we have been laureates of several competitions and have also been invited to perform in music festivals such as Holland Festival, Grachtenfestival, Festival Jong Talent Schiermonnikoog, Festival Next Generation Bad Ragaz, andWestfalen Classics performing in important concerts hall such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Muziekgebouw aan't IJ, Lisinski Hall Zagreb, Izumi Hall Osaka and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
