"Natte Stoeptegels" - Debuut EP Bergolf

Ken je dat? Die geur van regen in een nat bos? Zo heerlijk! Probeer dat maar eens te vatten in een liedje! En dat terwijl de naaktslakken over de natte stoeptegels glijden. Bergolf neemt je mee naar dit soort simpele, maar wonderlijke momenten.

Wij, Rachel, Jochem & Thijmen vormen Bergolf en zijn een singer-songwriter band uit Wageningen. We hebben besloten de stoute schoenen aan te trekken en zijn de studio ingedoken. Met als doel dat iedereen onze muziek kan beluisteren via onze allereerste CD.

Nu hebben we jouw hulp nodig zodat je straks onze cd ook echt thuis kunt opzetten!

Wat doen we met je geld?
Wij hebben ondertussen zelf al geïnvesteerd in het opnemen van onze EP met een professionele producer. Nu hebben we extra geld nodig om de cd daadwerkelijk te produceren. Als je ons helpt ons doel te halen, gaan we het volgende doen:

• De EP wordt afgemixt
• Een ontwerp voor de EP en boekje (inclusief teksten!) wordt ontworpen door Meike Schipper
• Onze EP wordt gedrukt
• Een vette release party wordt georganiseerd in Wageningen op 6 november. Koop via dit platform alvast je kaartje!
• Update! Een video clip wordt opgenomen van onze nieuwe single

Help jij ons dit mogelijk te maken?
Blijf dan niet langer in de wolken hangen met je hoofd, maar doneer via 1 van de knoppen hier rechts boven. Dan krijg je binnenkort onze eerste EP door de bus, zien we je op onze release party (met een écht Bergolf T-shirt aan wellicht?!) of komen we bij je langs om een concert te geven!

Onze muziek
We maken zoals we dat zelf noemen: verrassende, Nederlandstalige poëzie pop. We spelen al jaren, vaak akoestisch, op tal van festivals en tijdens intieme huiskamer concerten. Op de EP hebben we ons geluid verder ontwikkeld. De zang en akoestische gitaar van Rachel staan hierin nog steeds centraal. De gitaar en bas van Jochem en de drums en synthesizer van Thijmen maken het tot een rijk en groovend geheel.

Teksten met een boodschap
In ons altijd drukke leven vergeten we soms hoe mooi en rustgevend de natuur kan zijn. Met onze muziek halen we je uit je drukke bubbel en nemen je mee naar buiten. Om samen te dansen in een regenbui of te zeilen in de volle wind! En wat is de wereld zonder de wonderlijke naaktslak?

"Wet paving slabs" - first EP Bergolf

Do you know that smell? Of a wet forest? It's so lovely! But try to catch that in a song! While the slugs are gliding over the wet paving slabs. Bergolf takes you to these simple but wonderful moments.

We, Rachel, Jochem and Thijmen are forming Bergolf and we are a singer-songwriter band from Wageningen. We decided to venture into the lion's den, and recorded songs in a studio. Soon it will be possible for you to listen to our music with our first CD coming out!

But first we need your help to get there!

What are we going to do with your money?
We have already invested in the recording of our EP with a professional producer. Now we need extra money to actually produce the cd. If you decide to help us reach our goal, we will do the following:

• The EP will be mastered
• An artwork for the EP and booklet will be designed by Meike Schipper
• Our EP willl be pressed
• An awesome release party will be organised in Wageningen on the 6th of November. You can buy your ticket already on this page!
• Update! A music video will be recorded with our newest single.

Our music
We make music as we call it: surprising, Dutch poetry pop. We have been playing for many years already, often in acoustic settings, at several festivals and intimate living room concerts. On our EP, we developed our sound further. Rachel's voice and guitar play are still the central point of focus. The guitar and bass of Jochem and the drums and synthesizer of Thijmen make the sound rich and groovy as a whole.

Dutch lyrics with a message
In our everlasting busy lives, we sometimes forget the beauty and peacefulness of nature. With our musics, we pull you out of your busy bubble, of take you outside. To dance in a shower of to sail in the wind! And what is the world worth, without the peculiar slug?
