Met de groepsexpositie ‘Dear memory of my body’ brengen vier Utrechtse mother-artists van Mother-Artists Collective Utrecht (MACutrecht) een ode aan hun lichaam!
We delen herinneringen over, in, op, van ons postpartum lichaam in beeldende en gesproken kunst. Denk aan bodyshaming & bodypositivity, seks/lust/erotiek/porno en censureren van borsten v.s.

We delen herinneringen over, in, op, van ons postpartum lichaam in beeldende en gesproken kunst. Denk aan bodyshaming & bodypositivity, seks/lust/erotiek/porno en censureren van borsten v.s. borstvoeding in het openbaar. Met ons werk willen we gesprekken op gang brengen waarmee we deze taboes doorbreken.
Alles wat ons moederlijf heeft meegemaakt, of nog meemaakt.

With the group exhibition 'Dear memory of my body' four Utrecht mother-artists of Mother-Artists Collective Utrecht (MACutrecht) pay tribute to their postpartum body!
We share memories about, in, on, of our postpartum body in visual and spoken art.
Think about subjects as bodyshaming & bodypositivity, sex/lust/erotic/porno and censoring of breasts v.s. breastfeeding in public. With our work we want to shatter these taboos.
Everything that our maternal body has experienced, or still experiences.
Expositie / exhibition
In mei en juni 2019 exposeren we ons werk in cultureel cafe KopiSusu in de Utrechtse wijk Lombok.
Op deze prachtige en populaire plek, midden in de wijk, gaan we met elkaar in gesprek over moederschap, schoonheid en seksualiteit.
Dit doen we met een programma van workshops, lezingen en performances voor een breed publiek.

In May and June 2019 we will exhibit our work in cultural café KopiSusu in Lombok, a district of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
At this beautiful and popular place, in the centre of the neighbourhood, we will engage in a conversation about motherhood, beauty and sexuality.
We do this with a programme of workshops, lectures and performances for a wide audience.
Liefdesbrief aan jouw postpartum lichaam! / Love letter to your postpartum body
Om deze gesprekken diepte en kracht te geven, willen we graag een zine maken: online en print!
Een zine is een zelf uitgegeven magazine, met grassroots verhalen. Met de hand gemaakt en/of op de computer.
We verzamelen zoveel mogelijk internationale artistieke liefdesbrieven van mother-artists in proza, poëzie, tekeningen, foto’s, collages, schilderijen etcetera.
Een zine gevuld met gepassioneerde, kwetsbare en krachtige odes aan onze postpartum lichamen.
Een selectie van de brieven zal tevens een ereplek krijgen in onze expositie.
Met het delen van onze verhalen versterken we de liefde voor onszelf, in ons zelfbeeld en voor ons postpartum lichaam!

To give these conversations depth and power, we would like to create a zine: online and in print!
A zine is a self published magazine, with grassroots stories. Made by hand and/or on the computer.
We collect as many international artistic love letters of mother-artists as possible in proza, poetry, drawings, photographs, collages, paintings, etcetera.
A zine filled with passionate, vulnerable and powerful tributes to our postpartum bodies.
A selection of the letters will also have a special place in our exhibition.
By sharing our stories we empower the love for ourselves, in our self-image and our postpartum body!
Jouw donatie voor PostPartumBody-liefde / Your donation for PostPartumBody-Love
Met jouw donatie financieren we kosten voor domein- & webhosting voor de online zine, het (grafisch) ontwerpen van de zine-website en de gedrukte zine, de drukkosten van minimaal 1000 gedrukte zines en 5-10 ingelijste A3-prints van liefdesbrieven voor de expositie.
Elke donateur komt op de gastenlijst van onze expositie opening, waarbij we toosten op de liefde.
