Geef het Internationaal Altvioolcongres Vleugels!

Het Internationaal Altvioolcongres IVC2018 (20-24 november, Rotterdam) vindt dit jaar voor het eerst in Nederland plaats. Het wordt een altvioolfeest zonder weerga, met recitals, workshops, lezingen en een grote expositie overdag - en avondconcerten met wereldsterren in De Doelen. Een unieke kans om de Nederlandse altvioolwereld voor te stellen aan onze internationale collega's, en andersom! Maar - we komen nog wat geld tekort om de puntjes op de i te zetten: De techniek (geluidssystemen, beamers, technici) en instrumentenhuur (vleugelhuur, slagwerk) valt duurder uit dan eerst begroot. Dankzij een enorme toestroom van onweerstaanbare ideeën, zijn meer dan 100 evenementen gepland. Lees alles over onze congres- en festivalactiviteiten op www.ivc2018.nl!

In een eveneens unieke oproep hebben altviolisten uit Nederlandse orkesten de handen ineen geslagen om onze campagne kracht bij te zetten: Nog nooit eerder vertoond, de altvioolsecties van het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest, het Residentie Orkest, het Rotterdam Philharmonisch, het Radio Filharmonisch en Het Gelders Orkest samen voor eenzelfde zaak in één clip te bewonderen! Studenten van de conservatoria in Amsterdam, Den Haag en Rotterdam sluiten zich aan bij het spreekkoor "STEUN ONS!", evenals de leden van Viotta Jeugdorkesten en het Rotterdam Jeugd Symfonie Orkest. Samen vertegenwoordigen zij "Nederland Altvioolland", de Assepoester die deze maand naar het grote bal gaat.

The International Viola Congress 2018 (November 20th-24th, Rotterdam) takes place in The Netherlands for the first time ever. It will be an unparallelled viola party, with recitals, workshops, lectures and a big exposition during daytime, and evening concerts with world famous violists in De Doelen. A unique chance for the Dutch viola world to present itself to our international colleagues, and vice versa! But - we're still a bit short of funds to put the "dot on the i": In particular, technical equipment (beamers, sound systems, technicians) and rental of instruments (grand pianos, percussion) turns out to be more expensive than originally budgeted. In an equally unique appeal, violists from Dutch orchestras have joined forces to support our campaign. For the first time, the viola sections of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Residentie Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Radio Philharmonic and the Gelders Orchestra appear together in one single video clip, united for our cause! The viola students from the conservatories of Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam as well as members of the Viotta Youth Orchestra and the Rotterdam Youth Symphony Orchestra join in the chorus "STEUN ONS" (Support us!). Together, they represent "The Netherlands, Viola-land", the Cinderella invited to the big ball this month.

€25: One evening concert ticket for one of the following performances in De Doelen Jurriaanse Zaal:
Nov 22nd: Britten celebration with Nobuko Imai, Atar Arad, Yuval Gotlibovich and Tim Ridout; or
Nov 23rd: Kim Kashkashian, viola and percussion recital
€50: A T-shirt with our cool IVC Logo
€100: Two day passes for the daytime congress programme
€250: A signed CD by Kim Kashkashian
€500: VIP evening Nov. 22nd for two: 3-course dinner for two (drinks inclusive), and 2 tickets for the "Britten Celebration" concert!
€1000: A private recital by a well-known Dutch violist (date to be agreed on basis of availability).
