De vereniging Too Mutz Blues Band, kortweg TMBB, is een vijfmans bluesformatie die al bijna 25 jaar met hart en ziel de blues uitdraagt,

We are the Too Mutz Blues Band (TMBB), a five-man band that has been bringing you real heart-and-soul blues for 25 years now.

De leden /Our current line up:
Henk ten Berge: zang/vocals
Jan v.d. Weijde: gitaar/ guitar
Chris Knieriem: gitaar/ guitar
Ger Hermans: bas/ bass
Iwan v.d. Brink: drums

2018 wordt ons 25 jarig jubileumjaar en dat willen we groots gaan vieren. We willen ons 5e lustrumjaar beginnen met de release van een nieuwe CD: III (Some Blues)

We would like to say a few words about our latest project and hope you will bear with us through all these words, as this project is an important one. The year 2018 is our 25th anniversary year, and in the spirit of grand celebration, we hope to begin the 5th lustrum year with the releaseof a new CD, III (Some Blues)

Deze CD, III ( Some Blues) zal een aantal nieuwigheden bevatten voor onze mede-blues liefhebbers:

This CD, III (Some Blues) will have many special, first-time features for our fellow Blues Aficionados:

Onze dierbare “bluesbuddy” en vaste invalster Liza Bordewijk zal ons team weer komen versterken op de hammond en piano.

Our dear friend and occasional band member Liza Bordewijk will join us on Hammond and piano for this project.

Naast het gebruikelijke stevige rock en blues werk zullen we op deze CD ook een aantal acoustische nummers opnemen. (en daarvoor wordt dan o.a. de basgitaar omgeruild voor de contrabas)

In addition to our signature-solid rock and blues work, the new CD will also feature several acoustic works. For these works Ger exchanges his electric bass for the upright bass.

Om vast een tipje van de sluier op te lichten: een van de acoustische nummers die we gaan opnemen is "Destination"
De tekst van dit nummer is een gedicht van Henk Vaessen uit zijn roman "Stille Finale"
Henk Vaessen is al jaren fan van de TMBB en heeft ons gevraagd zijn gedicht op muziek te zetten; een geweldige eer en uitdaging!

The lyric of this song being a poem by Henk Vaessen from his novel "Stille Finale."
Henk Vaessen has been a fan of TMBB for years, and he asked us to put his poem to music; a great honor and challenge!

Half november gaan we weer naar de Silvoxstudio in Silvolde om daar de CD op te nemen. We hebben hele goede ervaringen met deze studio. (Onze 2e CD "lady In Black And Other Blue Pieces" is hier ook opgenomen. Luister maar eens op Spotify/Too Mutz Blues Band.)
Het wordt weer een CD met eigen nummers en een paar "eigenwijze" covers.

Mid-November expects to find us in the Silvox studio in Silvolde recording the new CD. Our choice of a studio for this CD was very important, and Silvox impressed us greatly with the high quality of its work. (Our CD "Lady In Black And Other Blue Pieces" was recorded there. Check out Spotify/Too Mutz BluesBand.)
The CD will contain a mix of originals and “TMBB-style” covers.

Een CD opnemen kost natuurlijk weer bakken met geld en daar hebben wij jullie hulp bij nodig.
Het hele proces van opnemen, mastering, persen, de promovideo, de fotoshoot voor het CD-boekje en de promotie hebben we begroot op € 7500,-
Dit bedrag willen we dan ook, via deze crowdfunding gaan realiseren.

Now, recording such a landmark CD is a very expensive proposition. We will of course be contributing all of our band earnings to the project, and Henk is even talking about giving up booze to support it! For the sake of our sanity, and the quality of his performances, please don't let that happen!
But all kidding aside, we really do need the help of you, our friends. For the entire process of recording, mastering and pressing, a photoshoot for the CD booklet, a promotional video and for other promotional items we have budgeted € 7500,- A king's ransome, we know.
And so we are reaching out for your help through the medium of Crowdfund.
