about two years ago we presented Remodeling in the Melkweg Expo in Amsterdam. In the meantime we haven’t been standing still.
Kumi and I would like to update you with what happened and what’s going on.

Remodeling at State of Fashion in Arnhem and Berlin 2018
Remodeling has been selected to be part of the exhibition during the festival ‘State of Fashion – Searching for New Luxury’ in Arnhem. We’ve been showing a selection of our works and sat around the table with other designers and thinkers on topics like #imagination #nowaste #fairness #care #tech #essential #agency #reuse. It has been a special exhibition with inspiring encounters and sustainable and innovative ideas.

Nederlands Letterenfonds en Stimuleringsfonds support ‘Ping Pong’
Together with writer Basje Boer we started a new collaboration – a follow up, based on our ‘Remodeling’ concept which is called Ping Pong.

To stimulate literature on screen, Het Nederlands Letterenfonds and Stimuleringsfonds join forces. Last year they chose three projects. We are more than happy that our proposal is one of them. They supported us to elaborate our idea.

We realized this together with Basje Boer, who also wrote the short story "The Other Side of the Room" for Remodeling. And with multidisciplinary design and development agency van Leeuwen & van Leeuwen, who programmed the website together with Kumi.

We threw the ball and made three photos to which Basje responded with three short stories around three main characters. The ping-pong ball bounced back and forth, until there were nine images and one big story, which can be read like an ensemble film. The reader decides for himself how he moves through the story.

The result is a game between the traditional way of reading and a new, alternative way to navigate through a story.

On 10th of April 2019 we will present the project in Springhouse, Amsterdam.

Het is alweer een jaar geleden dat onze expositie en presentatie in de Melkweg Amsterdam is afgelopen / heeft plaats gevonden.
Ondertussen hebben wij niet stil gezeten.

Wij willen jullie graag op hoogte stellen van twee mooie nieuwtjes over onze samenwerking!

Remodeling bij State of Fashion in Arnhem 1 juni t/m 22 juli

Ons project Remodeling werd geselecteerd voor de tentoonstelling tijdens het festival ‚State of Fashion / Searching for New Luxury‘ in Arnhem. Hier zal naast het werk van andere bijzondere designers ook een selectie van ons werk te zien zijn. Tijdens een publiek debat ‚whataboutery - masters of change’ geven wij uitleg en antwoord over onze visie.

De opening van het Festival is op 1 juni 2018. Ons werk zal te zien zijn t/m 22 juli 2018.

Wij zouden het heel leuk vinden om jullie daar te zien! Dus kom vooral langs!

Letterenfonds en Stimuleringsfonds
steunen onze samenwerking met Basje Boer

Samen met schrijfster Basje Boer zijn wij een nieuwe samenwerking in de verlengde van ‚Remodeling‘ gestart.

Om Literatuur op het Scherm te stimuleren slaan Het Letterenfonds en het Stimuleringsfonds de handen in elkaar. Zij hebben drie projecten gekozen. Wij verheugen ons dat zij ons steunen en wij dit jaar ons concept uit te kunnen werken.
Net zoals voor Remodeling zullen wij op elkaar reageren door woord en beeld.
UX designer Hendrik van Leeuwen zal ons helpen dit op het scherm te brengen.

Spannend, wij kijken ernaar uit!
Begin volgend jaar zullen we jullie op de hoogte houden en laten zien wat het is geworden.

It’s more than a year ago that we had our presentation and exhibition Remodeling in the Melkweg Amsterdam! Time flies and we haven’t been standing still.

We are happy to inform you about the further process of our collaboration.

Remodeling at State of Fashion in Arnhem 1st of June until 22nd of July
opening 1st of june 2018

Remodeling has been selected to be part of the exhibition during the festival ‘State of Fashion – Searching for New Luxury’ in Arnhem. Besides other designers there will be some of our works be shown in the exhibition. During a public debate ‘whataboutery - masters of change’ we will talk about our vision on this topic.

The opening of the festival is on 1st of June 2018. Our work will be shown until 22nd of July 2018.

Hallo lieve mensen, dear supporters!

Ineens is het er!

Afgelopen week donderdag presenteerden we ons boek en vierden we de opening in de Melkweg Expo. Een super locatie waar ons werk nog t/m 14 mei te zien zal zijn.

Fleurie, curator van de Melkweg, heeft een mooie introductie gegeven over de reden waarom ze ons project zo goed vond passen bij de Melkweg en zijn publiek.

Het was een mooie opening met een heleboel mooie mensen die ons gesteund hebben, boeken gekocht hebben, als model hebben gestaan of verhalen hebben geschreven…

Vervolgens is deze week ook al een groep studenten van de Amsterdam Fashion Academy langs geweest om nieuwsgierige vragen te stellen over ons project. Erg leuk!

Mochten jullie in de komende drie weken in Amsterdam zijn en de expositie willen bezoeken, laat het ons vooral weten en wij spreken graag met je af!

Hello dear supporters!

And suddenly there it is!

Last week Thursday we presented our book and celebrated our opening of the exhibition in the Melkweg Expo. A great location where you can see our work until 14th of may.

Fleurie, curator of the Melkweg, introduced us by explaining why she invited us and why she thinks our work fits to the Melkweg public.

For us it was a very cheerful opening with lots of beautiful people who supported us, bought books, have been modelling for us, wrote short stories for us…

This week we also had a group of students of the Amsterdam Fashion Academy coming over with lots of curious questions about our project. That was fun!

If you are around and you would like to meet and visit us at the Melkweg, please let us know. We’d be happy to meet you there.

Hello dear supporters,

Step for step we are getting closer: Last night we went to see how the first pages of 'Remodeling' got printed at Zwaan Printmedia in Wormerveer. We checked colors and watched craftsmen taking care of our book. We are excited and can't wait to hold the final result in our hands and pass it to you as well!
A little more patience and the printed pages will be send to the bookbinder.

As we told you before, we'll first be traveling to Japan and show our work at /Maison on 11th of February.

Hallo lieve donateurs en supporters!

Wow, wat een feest en geweldig resultaat! Wij hebben
€ 9.160 opgehaald via deze crowdfunding-campagne en zijn ontzettend blij. Dankzei jullie allemaal! Jullie hebben natuurlijk al een geautomatiseerde email ontvangen en wij konden de kerstdagen even rustig vieren.

Maar zo kort voor het nieuwe jaar willen we jullie allemaal nog even iets persoonlijker bedanken. Wij zijn ontzettend dankbaar! DANK JULLIE WEL voor het vertrouwen in ons project! Wij gaan ons best doen om nu zo snel mogelijk ons boek te laten printen.

Wat gaat er nu allemaal precies gebeuren?

Over ongeveer drie weken gaan we de bestanden naar de printer sturen. Tot die tijd zijn we nog bezig met de laatste aanpassingen en foto’s klaarmaken voor de print en het gekozen papier.

In Osaka gaan we Remodeling voor het eerst presenteren in de galerie van Teruhiro Yanagihara.
Als jullie in de buurt zijn zouden we het te gek vinden als je langs komt. Als het goed is nemen we een paar exemplaren mee voor de opening op 11 Februari 2017.

Eind februari zijn we weer terug en gaan we verder met het plannen van de boekpresentatie hier in Amsterdam. Hiervoor worden we ook al gesteund door het Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.

Wij hopen dat het in Maart of April gaat lukken en zijn op het moment met twee partijen bezig te bespreken wat mogelijk is. Zodra de locatie en tijd bevestigd is laten we het uiteraard weten.

Dan sturen we ook jouw exemplaar van Remodeling op of kan je em tijdens de presentatie in ontvangst nemen.

Wij helpen je binnenkort ook graag bij het uitkiezen van een print uit de serie als je die besteld hebt en gaan ook gauw met jou de photoshooting plannen, als je die ‚geboekt‘ hebt! Spannend!

We houden jullie op de hoogte!

Hello dear supporters!

What a fantastic result and feeling! Wow!

Everybody has been busy celebrating Christmas these days. You already got an automated email to say thank you for your donation. But now just before the new year, we also want to send some more personal words.

We are super grateful and want to say THANK YOU again for your trust in our project! You made our holidays even more happy by supporting us and we will do our very best to get our book printed as soon as possible.

You probably would like to know what will happen next?

In about three weeks we will send the files to the printer. Until then we will be finetuning the design and prepare the photo’s for printing.

In Osaka we'll be having our first presentation of Remodeling at the gallery of Teruhiro Yanagihara.
If you are around, we would love it to see you at our opening there.
A few copies we'll take along with us to Japan for the opening on the 11th of February 2017.

As soon as we are back in Amsterdam – end of February –we’ll be preparing the book launch with an exhibition! For that we even got support from the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.

We are aiming to do that in March or April. At the moment we are talking to two venues where we might do that. As soon as it is confirmed, we will let you know of course! We can’t wait!

That also will be the moment when you receive your own copy. We will send it to you or you can pick it up when we celebrate the launch.

Also we will help you decide which print you want to choose if you even ordered a print of the series or start planning the photoshoot you booked! Exciting!
