This show is about life not being black and white, but grey. Nobody is either good or bad. People do not always make certain choices for reasons you might think. There is always an extra layer to it. Different perspectives are key to understanding this. - scroll down to 'Why this story?' to read more about the narrative of CREEP.
Themes: Mental health, psychology, obsessions, trauma
Pilot:
In this story we follow MATTHEW, a lonely and troubled man that has been looking at life through a window. Literally, as his hobby is photographing 'picture perfect families' at night without them knowing...
One night, when a YOUNG BOY is watching TV, as his MOTHER is making thee - a bright light fills the inside of the kitchen. The mother, who is standing next to the sink, sees a big camera through the kitchen window. She opens the window and throws the boiling water from her cup in a swift motion at Matthew, burning his hand. He escapes while staying unrecognized.
It seems like a rather good ending for Matthew. But something like this has never happened to him before. This event causes the beginning of his mental downfall, as he becomes a sociopath!

The Rest of the Season
Starting from episode two, Matthew's activities grow more obsessive and dangerous: stalking, breaking & entering and even murd... let's just say things become bloody.
Characters
The series features a bunch of interesting characters like:
Makayla - Matthew's new coworker whom he falls in love with. The first pretty and smart girl... heck, even the very first GIRL to give Matthew attention. She likes Matthew, but is in a toxic relationship. This becomes an obstacle for Matthew, one he is willing to remove by any means necessary...
Anonymous dark forum user - This is a mystery character teased in the pilot. An online contact with whom Matthew shares his obsessions and nightly adventures with. A bad influence that brings out the worst in Matthew. This is a character that will show his face later on in the series, demonstrating what he is capable of himself. This results in a couple of horrific events that will change Matthew forever...

Inspired by a true event!
The answer to that question is an interesting one... Not long ago our producer was eating spaghetti in front of his television while watching a show about Italian mobsters: The Sopranos. His mother was standing in the kitchen when suddenly a bright light flashed through the kitchen window, even reaching the TV. The mother saw a dark figure holding what seemed to be a camera. When both ran towards the door, they encountered it locked. They were too late to find out the identity of this person: he or she was gone...
As creatives, we are told to write about what we know. In this case, our producer took the little knowledge he had of this personal event and started writing everything he didn't know about it. Together with the director of the project, both created a compelling story with interesting (gray) characters and complex plot lines.

Jelmar is a hands-on creator who transforms dreams into reality. He has been passionate about filmmaking since a young age. About five years ago, he took a determined step to deepen his understanding of every aspect of filmmaking. With five unique projects under his belt, he recently wrapped principal photography on a short film called "The White Room" thanks to a dedicated crew and a modest budget. He's all about turning dreams into reality and embracing challenges with unwavering commitment.

Rubén is a creative producer with 3+ years of experience leading audio-visual productions. Skilled in presenting and project management. Currently studying Creative Business at BUas, a small-scale management study that focuses on 'how to make money' in the creative industry. On the side, he plans events and produces short films. He has recently wrapped production on a low-budget short called 'The White Room'.

Max was introduced to AV productions early on in his life and has worked on various creative projects ever since. With a lot of prior experience in camera work, audio, and editing, he offers a broad field of expertise. He has worked in Theatre productions, and film productions for companies. He also occasionally works with children as a media educator. With this project, he's hoping to create a thrilling experience that gives the audience a riveting emotional journey.

Emma is a beginning creator on her way to make her movie dream come true. She has taken up different production roles in the past, giving her a broad knowledge when it comes to the production process. She's had an interest in costumes and set design for a while and is ready to turn this into more. In her free time you'll most likely catch her reading a book or developing new stories.

Alina loves everything audio-related. Having done two internships as a radio producer, she now created her own music and writes songs. Although she has only been the audio recordist for one short film in the past, she is excited to create the sound landscape for CREEP. Nice shots only make half the movie; without good sound, the whole experience is worth nothing.

Creative and passionate about fine arts, design and cinematography, Gabriel has years of experience in a variety of projects that focus on visual communication, from broadcast to advertising and motion graphics. Currently working as a freelance filmmaker, he is always open to sharing ideas, setting ambitious goals and having the opportunity to work and develop the aesthetics to create incredible film stories across a wide array of genres.

As we are sure you understand, productions cost a lot of money...
How are we cutting costs?
- We are making our own rain machine!
- We are using a camera (Blackmagic 6k) from our University.
- We are renting/buying as many second-hand items as possible.
