Ensemble Musica Adriatica will go on their mission to bring back the heavenly barocktunes from around the Adriatic Sea. This way, we want to make sure, this music is preserved for future generations.

NL: Ensemble Musica Adriatica gaat voor de tweede keer op pad om vergeten barokmuziek uit het gebied rondom de Adriatische zee terug te brengen naar het hier en nu, zodat het publiek van vandaag en de volgende generatie van deze hemelse muziek kan blijven genieten!

How it started...Hoe het begon...
Ensemble Musica Adriatica started out in 2019 under the artistic leadership of the Croatian conductor Sara Dodig-Baučić. She studied in the Netherlands and came across many early music musicians who were interested in her idea of bringing back the baroque music from around the Adriatic Sea. Not only because these works are beautiful to listen to, but also because it gives a wider knowledge about our musical heritage. And so, in the autumn of 2019 the first edition was launched. The ensemble prepared, recorded and performed the 27 Sacrae Cantiones by Ivan Lukačić.
NL: Ensemble Musica Adriatica begon in 2019 onder de artistieke leiding van de Kroatische dirigent Sara Dodig-Baučić. Sara Studeerde in Nederland en leerde daar veel barok musici kennen die zeer geinteresseerd waren in haar idee om vergeten barokcomposities van rondom de Adisiche zee weer te laten klinken. Niet alleen omdat deze prachtig zijn om naar te luisteren maar ook omdat het grote kennis geeft over ons eigen muzikale erfgoed. En zo begon de eerste editie in 2019 met repetities, concert en opnamen van de 27 Sacrae Cantiones van Ivan Lukačić

Our plan for 2023 ...Ons plan voor 2023
In the autumn of 2023, Ensemble Musica Adriatica will focus on works by the Italian/Croatian composer Tomasco Cecchini. Recently there has been a new complete edition published of his Psalmi, Missa, et alia cantica quinque vocibus. Musica Adriatica will record and perform these complete works and bring it out into the world.
NL: In de herfst van 2023 zal Musica Adriatica de focus leggen op de Italiaanse/Kroatische componist Tomasco Cecchini. Recent is er namelijk een nieuwe complete editie verschenen van zijn Psalmi, Missa, et alia cantica quinque vocibus. Aan Musica Adriatica de taak om deze op te nemen, uit te voeren en te verspreiden over de wereld.

What we still need...Wat we nog nodig hebben...
To make sure we have all the financial ends meet, we are still in the need of EUR 3000,-. This money will be used towards: travelcosts, print and designercosts for our programbooklet and the rental of a rehearsal space.
NL: Om onze begroting helemaal kloppend te maken hebben wij nog dringend EUR 3000,- nodig. Dit geld wordt gebruikt voor de reiskosten, de drukkosten van het programmaboekje voor de Nederlandse concerten en de huur van onze repetite ruimte.
