We hopen dat jullie een heerlijke zomer achter de rug hebben! In de vorige update informeerden we over de datum en plek van de première van Visions of Goldberg en we kunnen nu melden dat de kaartverkoop is gestart!
Via de link hieronder is het mogelijk kaarten aan te schaffen voor het concert dat op woensdagavond 25 oktober in de Oude Kerk in Voorburg zal plaatsvinden.

Het concert begint om 20.00 uur en daarvoor zal Lisette Huizenga een inleiding verzorgen over het ontstaan van haar animatiefilms en het creatieve proces eromheen. Deze inleiding begint om 19.15 en is gratis bij te wonen. Na afloop hopen we samen na te genieten en na te praten onder het genot van een hapje en een drankje!

Alle donateurs die één of twee premièrekaarten tegoed hebben en hier ook bij kunnen en willen zijn, vragen we een bericht te sturen naar [email protected] Dan zorgen wij voor de rest!
Mocht het helaas niet lukken op deze datum, dan houd je de kaart(en) tegoed voor een ander trioconcert.

We hope you’ve enjoyed a wonderful summer! In our previous update we shared the date and location of our premiere of Visions of Goldberg, and we can now let you know that ticket sales are open!
Click on the link below to purchase tickets for the concert which will take place at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 25 October in the Oude Kerk in Voorburg.

Prior to the concert, Lisette Huizenga will give an introductory talk about the making of her animation films and her creative process. This talk is free of charge and will begin at 7.15 p.m. We hope you can join us for drinks and a chat after the performance!

If you’re not able to make it, you’re very welcome to tickets for another trio concert of your choosing.

Lieve vrienden en donateurs,

Inmiddels zijn we twee weken verder sinds het slagen van onze crowdfundingcampagne en voor diegenen die geen bericht van ons hebben gehad; we zijn jullie nog een groot dankjewel verschuldigd! We zouden het niet hebben gehaald zonder ieder van jullie en door jullie steun hebben we nu extra geld binnengehaald om een heel mooie première voor te bereiden in de herfst!
De tegenprestaties die konden worden verstuurd zijn als het goed is inmiddels aangekomen m.u.v. de kunstwerken, maar daar zijn we mee bezig! Mocht er iets mis zijn gegaan en je mist bijv. de set ansichtkaarten, laat het ons weten via [email protected]

We wilden graag eerder een update sturen, maar hebben gewacht zodat we jullie de datum en locatie van de première konden laten weten. Het informeren naar en het bezoeken van locaties nam meer tijd in beslag dan we hadden verwacht; de datum kon niet te vroeg in het seizoen zijn, omdat we een donkere ruimte nodig hebben ivm de projectie; het advies van onze technicus Pink Steenvoorden van Einstein Design was om van projectie achter het scherm uit te gaan om schaduwen te vermijden en dat betekende een plek met genoeg ruimte achter ons; en last, but nog least: we wilden een prachtige akoestiek voor de muziek!

Goed nieuws! We denken de perfecte locatie te hebben gevonden met de Oude Kerk in Voorburg, op woensdagavond 25 oktober. We kijken er enorm naar uit, dus noteer hem in jullie agenda en we hopen dat jullie allemaal kunnen komen! Uiteraard zullen we met iedereen die één of twee premièrekaarten tegoed heeft tegen die tijd contact opnemen.

Dear friends and supporters,

A couple of weeks have passed since our crowdfunding campaign and for those of you who haven’t received post from us, we still owe you a huge thank you! We couldn’t have managed it without each and every one of you and because of your support we have some extra money to invest in our premiere performance this Autumn!
All rewards that could be sent should have arrived by now, with the exception of the artworks which we are in the process of organising. In case something has gone wrong and you haven’t received what you were expecting, the set of cards for example, please let us know and mail us at [email protected]

We would have liked to update you earlier but we have been waiting to be able to let you know about the date and location of the premiere. Researching and visiting locations took longer than expected; the date couldn’t be too early in the season because of the darkness needed for the projection; our technical advisor, Pink Steenvoorden from Einstein Design, recommended the use of rear projection to avoid shadows which means we needed plenty of space behind us; and, last but not least, we wanted great acoustics for the music!

Good news! We think we’ve found the perfect location in the beautiful Oude Kerk in Voorburg which is now booked for the evening of Wednesday, 25 October. We’re really excited about it, so put the date in your diaries and we hope you can all come! And, of course, for everyone who is due one or two free tickets for the premiere, we’ll be in touch again nearer the time.

Lieve vrienden,
We komen met fantastisch nieuws: met nog 13 dagen te gaan is de teller opeens op 100% gesprongen! Dankzij alle donaties, waaronder enkele zeer hoge, en dankzij een verrassende donatie van het Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Zuid-Holland, bereikten we sneller dan verwacht de 75% waardoor Gemeente Den Haag de overige 25% doneerde en we opeens ons doel hadden bereikt. We kunnen alle donateurs niet genoeg bedanken!

De mooie kans die we nu krijgen van Voordekunst is om het streefbedrag aan te passen en een nieuw doel toe te voegen. We zijn op zoek naar een bijzondere locatie voor onze première en zijn erg dichtbij. De kosten die bij de première komen kijken zullen rond de € 1500,- bedragen. Daarnaast hebben wij niet alle kosten weten te dekken voor het project vanwege een beetje teleurstellende fondsenwerving naast deze campagne. Daarom zou een extra € 1000,- voor de aanschaf van de apparatuur (computer, scherm, iPad) zeer welkom zijn! Ons nieuwe doelbedrag is nu €17.500 geworden en we hopen dat jullie de link naar dit project blijven delen en dat diegenen die nog overwegen te doneren dat alsnog doen!

Afgelopen zaterdag hebben we in het Kunstmuseum de tweede try-out gegeven; met een nieuw aangeschafte beamer door het museum kwam de voorstelling nog meer in de buurt van wat we er uiteindelijk mee voor ogen hebben! De volgende stap wordt een prachtige première en daarna volgen hopelijk vele voorstellingen door het hele land!

We have fantastic news: with 13 days still to go the counter has suddenly jumped to 100%! Thanks to everyone’s donations, including some very generous ones, and thanks to a surprise donation from the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Zuid-Holland, we reached 75% faster than expected which meant that the Gemeente Den Haag (city council of The Hague) donated the remaining 25%, and before we knew it, we’d reached our goal! We really can’t thank all of you who have contributed enough!

We’ve now been offered a new opportunity by Voordekunst, to change our target amount and add a new objective. We’re still searching for a perfect location for our premiere and we’re getting closer to finding one. The costs to cover the event will cost about €1500. In addition we haven’t succeeded in covering all this project’s costs due to a rather disappointing fund-raising push before starting this crowdfunding campaign. Because of that, an extra €1000 to cover the costs of purchasing essential equipment (computer, screen, iPad) would be very welcome! Our new target is now €17.500 and we hope you will keep sharing the Voordekunst link with your friends. For all those who were still thinking of donating, you still can!

Last Saturday our second tryout took place in the Kunstmuseum in The Hague; thanks to the museum’s new beamer the performance got a big step closer to what we have been dreaming of! Next step, a fabulous premiere and then, hopefully, lots more performances throughout the country!

Goed nieuws, we zitten inmiddels op 53%! Heel veel dank aan diegenen die ons tot nu toe gesteund hebben! En er is meer bijzonder nieuws: Gemeente Den Haag heeft toegezegd 25% van het streefbedrag te doneren, zodra we de 75% hebben bereikt! Dus voor iedereen die nog van plan is te doneren; help ons die 75% te halen!

Onze eerste try-out was afgelopen donderdag in de Azijnfabriek in Den Bosch en was een succes! We zijn enorm blij dat Matthieu Hogenboom en alle medewerkers bij Kamermuziek Den Bosch dit mogelijk hebben gemaakt en het was heel leerzaam en nuttig om te zien wat we nog willen verbeteren voor toekomstige voorstellingen. Idealiter zou de film het hele scherm moeten vullen en de kleurcontrasten zouden nog groter mogen zijn om als publiek het geheel optimaal te beleven.

Het is ons ook nog gelukt een nieuwe sessie met Richard Egarr in te plannen die ons heeft geïnspireerd en geholpen nog dieper de Goldbergvariaties in te duiken.

Great news, we’ve made it to 53%! Thank you to all of you that have supported us so far! And there’s more exciting news: the city council of The Hague has pledged to donate 25% of the total amount as soon as we have made it to 75%! So for all of you who are still considering donating, help us get to 75%!

The tryout was a success and we are so grateful to Matthieu Hogenboom and everyone else at Kamermuziek Den Bosch for making it possible. It was incredibly useful to see what improvements we can make for future performances. Ideally we’d like the projected film to completely fill the screen and for the colours and animations to be more pronounced so the audience can enjoy the animations to the full.

We also managed to find the time for another session with Richard Egarr who has been amazing in inspiring and helping us to get to know Bach's Goldberg Variations even better.
