De mens heeft de natuur hard nodig maar de natuur ons niet. Help mij doormiddel van donaties strijden voor een klimaat adaptieve stad!

Het is mijn doel met dit afstudeer project om het met leven water, natuur en architectuur samen te laten komen in een wooncomplex in Amsterdam. Mijn naam is Vyasa Koe en studeer dit jaar af voor de Master Architectuur aan de Bouwkunst Academie van Amsterdam.en heb uw hulp hard nodig om dit zo goed mogelijk uit te werken.

Waar ga ik uw bijdrage voor gebruiken:

IN BETWEEN NATURE
Het veranderende klimaat beproeft het recht op het verdere bestaan van de mens in deze wereld. De mens is hier zelf de oorzaak van en hoewel dit al lang geen verassing meer is komen oplossingen te langzaam tot stand. Als architect zie ik een grote kloof tussen mens en de natuur. Met de nog altijd groeiende bevolking is er steeds minder ruimte voor de natuur. Het kan daarom niet anders dan dat de stad zich zal moeten evalueren om een onderdeel te worden van het ecosysteem.

In mijn afstudeer project Master Architectuur is het mijn doel om de mens dichterbij de natuur te brengen. Vooral in de stad is dit een uitdaging en daarmee ook een kans om dit te ontwikkelen. Met het veranderende klimaat is het van belang om nu de architectuur te ontwerpen die we in de toekomst nodig zullen hebben. In mijn woningbouw afstudeer project in Amsterdam reageer ik op het toekomstige waterprobleem gebaseerd op de scenarios van 2050 in Nederland opgesteld door het KNMI. Daarnaast richt dit project zich op het woningtekort van mensen maar dus ook voor dieren. Door deze gemengde huisvestiging te realiseren vormen we een symbiose die nodig is voor de stad van de toekomst.

In deze radicale samensmelting van natuur en architectuur probeer ik het natuurbewustzijn van de mens te vergroten. Desalniettemin is er te weinig tijd om te wachten totdat dit bewustzijn zijn intrede maakt in de hoedanigheid van de stedeling. We kunnen en mogen niet verder bouwen zoals we dat nu doen; circulariteit, duurzaamheid en biodiversiteit is nodig om de stad klimaat adaptief te maken.

Om deze visie verder te ontwikkelen en te vertalen zoek ik financiële ondersteuning en bijdrage om zo ook na deze studie de nodige (r)evolutie van de stad te spiegelen aan de samenleving.

The main goal of my graduation project is to combine water, nature and architecture in a residential complex in Amsterdam. IN BETWEEN NATURE

The rapidly changing climate is testing the right of mankind to exist in this world and on this planet. Ironically, mankind itself is responsible for this change, and while this has been well-known for some time, solutions to and action against this global problem have been slow to emerge. As an architect, I see a large divide between people and nature, especially as the ever-growing population continues to push nature into ever smaller corners. For this reason, it is inevitable that the city as we know it be reevaluated and become part of the ecosystem that allows us to coexist.

The goal of my graduation project for my Architecture Master is to bring people closer to nature. The biggest challenge lies in large cities, where nature is all but eradicated and the opportunity for radical change presents itself. As the global climate continues to worsen, it is important that we take action now to design the architecture that we will need in the future. My project, In Between Nature, considers the water crisis that we will face in Amsterdam based on the scenarios laid out by the KNMI (Koninklijke Nederlands Meteorologisch Instituut/Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute) for the year 2050 in the Netherlands. Additionally, the project tackles the serious housing shortage in the Netherlands not only for people but animals as well. By approaching the issue from this duality it is possible to form a symbiosis necessary for the city of the future.

With this radical fusion of nature and architecture, I want to increase the average person's awareness of how important nature is. However, there is no time left to wait until this awareness and information becomes common knowledge for the city-dweller. We do not have the luxury of time to continue building as we do now; circular building, sustainability and biodiversity are all necessary ideals to embrace in building a new, climate-adaptive city.
