Pre-Graduation Show Fundraiser:

Support 45 graduating students breach the art world!

Dear patron of the arts,

We are the 45 graduating students of the Fine Arts department at the Royal Academy of Arts the Hague(KABK). After the limitations that COVID has left on our doorstep in the last years, we are delighted to have the opportunity to organise a (real life) exhibition together; as a diverse collective of students crawling out from all corners of the world.

This December we are combining our formidable and eclectic forces to present an independently organised group exhibition - otherwise known as the pre-graduation show.A precursor to the KABK graduation show that will take place in July 2023! This pre-graduation show will showcase a glimmering glimpse of what the class of 2023 has been working on and developing for the past4 years. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to further professionalise our practice as we finalise this phase of our education.

Producing this show independently will develop a mountain range of sensibilities in order for us to step into the professional field with more fluidity and ease. This is a chance for us to test the waters,debuting our work and interacting with the art world!

To realise this exhibition we need your help! We have ambitious plans for this show that requires ample funding.

Your contribution will help to pay for:
- a suitable exhibition space
- an external curator
- food and drink for the opening
- materials for building up exhibition space
- Transportation of work
- hiring a photographer for documentation
- publicity and PR

Aside from our crowdfunding efforts, we are in the process of organising a ‘Carnival’ event at the KABK on the 11th of November; a fair where we will utilise our various talents (for good!) Think live music, flea market, a nail bling salon, custom t-shirts, tattoos, workshops etc.You are hereby cordially invited to come carnival with us :)

Help 45 afstuderende studenten van de KABK pootjebaden met een ambitieuze tentoonstelling!

Beste kunstliefhebber,

Wij zijn een groep van 45 studenten van de afdeling Beeldende Kunst aan de Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten Den Haag (KABK).

Na de beperkingen waar COVID ons de afgelopen jaren mee opzadelde, zijn we erg blij om weer de mogelijkheid te hebben om een ​​fysieke tentoonstelling te organiseren, samen als divers collectief van studenten, kruipend uit alle hoeken van de wereld. Deze december combineren we onze eclectische krachten om een ​​onafhankelijk georganiseerde groepstentoonstelling te presenteren - ook wel bekend als de pre-eindexamenshow.

De tentoonstelling is een precursor van de KABK eindexamen tentoonstelling die in juli 2023 zal plaatsvinden. Deze pre-eindexamenshow geeft een goeie glimp van waar de klas van 2023 de laatste tijd aan heeft gewerkt en waar we de afgelopen 4 jaar naar toe hebben gewerkt.
De tentoonstelling biedt een uitgelezen kans om onze praktijk verder te professionaliseren terwijl we ons door de laatste fase van onze opleiding wurmen. Door de tentoonstelling onafhankelijk te organiseren zullen we meer ervaring en gevoel opdoen wat ons uiteindelijk in staat zal stellen om met meer souplesse en vertrouwen het professionele veld te betreden. Dit is voor ons de gelegenheid om ons werk te tonen en te testen aan het publiek, en om pootje te baden in de kunstwereld.

Om deze tentoonstelling te realiseren hebben we jouw hulp nodig! We hebben de volgende ambitieuze plannen voor de tentoonstelling en hebben daarvoor best wat financiëring nodig.

Jouw bijdrage helpt ons te betalen voor:
- een geschikte expositieruimte
- een externe curator
- catering voor de bar bij de opening en eten voor de bouwers van de tentoonstelling
- materialen voor het opzetten van de tentoonstellingsruimte
- transport van het werk
- een fotograaf om het werk en de opening te documenteren.
- publiciteit en PR

Naast deze crowdfunding zijn we bezig met het organiseren van een 'Carnaval' op de KABK op 11 november; een kermis waar we onze verschillende talenten in zullen zetten voor het goede, financiële doel! Dit zal bestaan ​​uit live muziek, een rommelmarkt, een nagelsalon, de verkoop van custom t-shirts en tatoeages, workshops en meer om de laatste portie geld voor onze show op te halen.
