Trickle is a publication made by The Fool Collective which is a group of 52 photography students studying at The Royal Academy of Art The Hague. Trickle is an autonomous, collectively designed publication project with the support of Jeroen Kummer, Vincent van Baar, Yara van der Velden and Pawel Pokutycki.

About the publication:

The publication is a note to The Fool's journey where stories of absurdity, vulnerability, contemplation, and meditation are told and expressed in various visual languages. It is a voyage into a diverse selection of works, a journey of the growing Fool. The theme of Trickle refers to how we experienced our time, to always be trickled and disoriented, accompanying each other in the journey of The Fool. Curated in an intuitive way, photographs are connected like transience of water drops, trickling through the pages.

Trickle is our debut as young artists towards the public. It is the first publication of the collective that reveals our profession as growing photography students. We would like to share our experience and journey through the medium of a book. It is a starting point of our ongoing collective journey. By sharing our work and stories we evoke everyone's memory of togetherness. We want to pass on the courage of turning back to the starting point, embracing the journey of the unknown, just as the fool does. To not get discouraged by obstacles but to learn and keep moving.

The goal of this crowdfunding is to cover the production costs which includes the printing of our publication. We are looking forward to bringing Trickle out into the public and Thank you so much for your support!

About the design:

The design of Trickle is inspired by the concept of The Fool's journey. A pocket journal size of 192 pages, with an open spine binding welcomes the reader to enter the journey in an open and intuitive way as The Fool explores the world. With support from the Type Media department at KABK, the publication uses font Mueller designed by Benn Blazy. The publication is printed in 5 colours. A spot color of neon green is added separately from CMYK colors, aiming for bringing an artistic quality presentation, and emphasizing tactility of the paper medium.
