Steun jonge theatermakers met een grote liefde voor natuur en onze aarde om een locatievoorstelling in Alkmaar te maken. Om een voorstelling te maken die je zowel met beide benen op de grond zet, als laat opstijgen in het heelal, hebben we geld nodig. Met jouw hulp kunnen we ons decor realiseren, vernieuwende technieken toepassen en alles uit het repetitieproces te halen. Zo creëren we een onvergetelijke ervaring voor jong en oud in samenwerking met Karavaan Festival. De performance speelt van woensdag 2 t/m zondag 5 juni.

Wie zijn wij?

Wij zijn een ambitieuze groep studenten van de scenografie, techniek en productie opleiding van de Academie voor Theater en Dans. Samen met maker Niek Vanoosterweyk hebben we de handen ineen geslagen om een grensverleggend afstudeerwerk te maken.
We opereren allen vanuit grote dromen en de wens om buiten de gebaande kaders van het reguliere theater te treden. Als team werken organisch samen om binnen ons afstuderen een alternatieve voorstellingsvorm te onderzoeken, een groots en meeslepend decor te bouwen en te werken met vernieuwende technieken om het publiek te verwonderen en naar huis te laten gaan met een onvergetelijke ervaring. En daar hebben we jullie hulp voor nodig!

Wat gaan we maken?
Wij maken INTO NOTHING, een theatrale natuurwandeling door Geestmeerambacht in Alkmaar. Waar we in de corona crisis naarstig op zoek gingen naar verbinding met de natuur, die een van de weinige constante om ons heen bleek, werd de gezochte verbinding niet altijd gevonden. Wij gaan een wandeling creëren die ons een andere verhouding tot de natuur zal brengen. Daarmee als doel om je achter te laten met een grote verwondering voor deze eeuwig bewegende aardbol, waar we met zijn allen op leven. Hoe toevallig is het dat wij, door die ene nanoseconde van de oerknal, nu op dit moment hier samen zijn?

We spitsen ons toe op de vier elementen: Vuur, Water, Aarde & Lucht. Tijdens de wandeling zal je voorbij vier poëtisch bewegende mini voorstellingen komen. Uiteindelijk komen alle elementen samen in de vorm van een spectaculaire performance.

Als mensen hebben wij onszelf in de loop der tijd bovenaan in de piramide der hiërarchie van de planeet geplaatst. In een wereld waar zo goed als alles ‘’man-made’’ is en de mens alles heeft ingedeeld naar zijn eigen behoeften, verliezen we oog voor wat de wereld in de basis is en voor ons als individu betekent.

We worden aangestuurd door deadlines, algoritmes en een hogere lat. De controle van de prestatiemaatschappij neemt voor iedereen toe.

Zijn we nog in staat om, om ons heen te kijken? Op welke manier moeten we ons verhouden tot de wereld en de ander om weer in verbinding te staan met elkaar maar vooral onze omgeving?

Waar hebben we jullie hulp voor nodig?
In INTO NOTHING doen we als team samen een oefening naar een gezamenlijk moment van reflectie en hoe we in een wereld waar altijd alles sneller lijkt te gaan, nog altijd bewust om ons heen blijven kijken.

Om dit te bereiken gaan we opzoek naar verschillende manieren hoe we naar de aarde, het universum en onszelf kunnen kijken. Hierbij gaan ingewikkelde technieken, een groot decor met bijzondere materialen en een intensief repetitieproces met de spelers aan vooraf. We hebben dit nodig om jullie als publiek mee te nemen in dit bewustzijn. Naast het materiaal hebben we geld nodig om alles in veilige en goede banen te leggen. Daar kunnen jullie bij helpen!

Support young theatremakers with a great love for nature and our earth to create a location performance in Alkmaar. To make a performance that will keep you grounded to the earth as well as take you to the universe, we need money. With your help we can make a beautiful scene, use innovative techniques and optimalize our rehearsing time. With your help, we will create an unforgettable experience for all ages in cooperation with Karavaan Festival. The performance will play from wednesday 2 juni till sunday 5 juni.

Who are we?
We are an ambitious group of graduating students of the Scenography, Design& Technology and Production department at the Academy for Theatre and Dance. Together with performing artist Niek Vanoosterweyck we work together to make a groundbreaking graduation piece.

We all operate from big dreams and a wish to take theater out of the blackbox. As a team we work organically in this graduation team to investigate alternative performing forms, to build a grand and compelling scene and work with innovative techniques to astonish the audience and give them an unforgettable experience. That’s where we need your help!

What will we create?
We are making INTO NOTHING, a performance with a theatrical nature walk through Geestmeerambacht in Alkmaar. In times of the Covid-19 crisis, people seemed to be desperately looking to connect with nature. It seemed to be one of the only constant factors in a world where everything fell apart. The search for connection did not seem to be fully successful. Our team is going to create an experience to show a different relation to nature. The aim of our performance is to leave you with a great sense of wonder about this eternally moving globe we all live on. What a coincidence it is, that we all are here on this moving earth, because of a big bang caused in a nanosecond?

We focus on the four elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. During the walk, you will pass four poetic mini-performances. Finally we bring all four elements together in a spectacular final performance.

As humans, we have placed ourselves, overtime, at the top of the pyramid of the planet's hierarchy. In a world where almost everything is ''man-made'' and man has classified everything according to his own needs, we lose sight of what the world is in essence and means to us as individuals.

We are driven by deadlines, algorithms and a higher bar. The control of the performance of society is increasing for everyone.

Are we still able to look around us? In what way should we relate to the world and the other in order to reconnect with each other but especially with our environment?

In INTO NOTHING we practice as a team how to create a moment of reflection with each other and how to, in a world where everything seems to go at a higher speed, still look around and be astonished.

To achieve this goal, we are investigating new ways to look at the earth, the universe and ourselves. This is paired withinnovative techniques, a big decor with special materials and an intensive rehearsing process. We need this to take you, the audience, with us in this journey to awareness. Besides the material we also need money to produce in a safe and responsible way. You can help us!
