Yesterday I could finally send out the last of the physical perks! Each of you should be receiving theirs in the mail very soon!

This includes the digital files; everyone should have gotten a download code in their e-mail! I've heard that for some people, it ended up in their spam folder, so don't forget to check there if you haven't seen it in your inbox yet!

And if something has, in the end, slipped through the cracks and you haven't received your download code yet, let me know, and we'll try to fix it!

Ik heb ook de digitale bestanden ge-emaild; iedereen zou een download-code moeten hebben ontvangen. Ik hoorde wel dat bij sommige mensen deze email in de spam-folder terecht is gekomen; dus als je de email mist, kijk daar ook even!

Mocht het nou helemaal scheef zijn gelopen en je hebt écht nog geen downloadcode ontvangen, laat het me even weten, dan gaan we dat oplossen!

Hello my dear friends,

I am still recuperating from my release concert last Sunday... it was wonderful, and thank you for the lovely reactions!

As the title suggests, I've spent the last two days getting all the perks into envelopes and on their way to you. Some of you have already gotten the CD in the post, and a lot more are on their way!

I will also be uploading the digital audio files tonight, and sending out the info on how to download them.

Unfortunately, however, there is a delay with the Art prints and the Signature cards. I expected them to arrive at the end of last week, but the shipping is taking longer than expected.
So if you ordered the "yours truly" or "a splash of colour" perk, I hope you will not be too disappointed that your perk will be arriving a few days later.
I will send them out as soon as I possibly can!

I am beyond excited to be able to tell you that this evening, we received several large boxes containing the CDs, fresh from the press!

They turned out absolutely gorgeous, and I can't wait to send them off, so you yourselves can hold them and admire them!

Last week, we also received the tote bags that come with the "tucked away safe" perk, and they, too, turned out beautiful!

I'm still waiting on the last few items to come in, before I can start sending out the long-awaited packages!

I am already immensely satisfied with how the CD has turned out, and I hope you will enjoy it as much, if not more!

Before I go, to continue to bounce up and down with excitement, a quick reminder that my release concert is this coming Sunday! Tickets are still available, there is a link in the previous update!

The CD is getting so near completion, and to top it all off, we have a date and location for a proper release concert!

The date is May 15th, the place is CapsLoc in Capelle aan den IJssel, close to Rotterdam!

I won't be playing all on my own, either; I am getting help from Meidi Goh, Lies Sommer and Jacco de Wijs, all of whom are also guests on the album! Additionally, there will be some fantastic support acts.

There is something else in the works, as well, but I'll not spoil that too much just yet. ;)

I am happy to tell you that, after much nitpicking and detailed listening sessions, the mixes for the album are finished! They are currently in the capable hands of Jimi Hellinga, who will be doing the mastering for this CD!

The mixing... well, that was a whole process, but I am so proud of the results, even before mastering. Each song shines in its own unique way, and there isn't a single one that I wouldn't be proud to release on its own as a single! At the same time, the songs come together in a cohesive-sounding whole.

So the finishing line, though still a ways to go, is in sight. And this seems to me an excellent moment to present to you: my logo.

To make this logo, I had to learn a lot about image editing... I can draw, but I am used to simple pencil and paper! Getting it usable on the computer was quite a steep learning curve. ;)

I am happy with how it turned out though, and I plan to use this logo for many more years and projects! Meanwhile, a challenge for you: how many music references can you find in it?

We've done it! The timer on the crowdfunder has run out, and "Whispers" is 105% funded!

Tomorrow we will be resuming the work on the album itself, as there is still plenty to be done before the album is finished; but tonight, we celebrate!

I will be posting updates regularly, to keep you in the loop!

It's incredible! with still four days to go, this crowdfunder has reached 100% of the funding goal! Thank you to each and every one of you who helped fund or share it!

If you haven't donated yet, but are interested in getting the CD, you can still use this crowdfunder as a way to pre-order! I will most likely use any additional funds to make a videoclip, so all donations are still very welcome!

Good news!

Earlier this week, I received some excellent news; this crowdfunder has received a grant from the city of Rotterdam! This brings us that much closer to the goal, and I am incredibly grateful that the city where I live values art and culture enough to support it, even a small artist like me.

And with only a week to go, we are inching so close to the goal! As I am writing this, it stands at 84%!

A new perk!

And for that last week, I've decided to add an exclusive perk; a private music lesson!

As you may have seen on my socials, I love sharing my knowledge and skills. So if you know any folk singers, violonists, or even nyckelharpa players, who want to be challenged and grow as a musician, point them to this crowdfunder!

I am still amazed at how many people have donated so far! Thank you, all of you, for your confidence in me!

However, we still have quite a way to go, and just under 2 weeks left! And you can help me along, (even if you've already donated,) by sharing this crowdfunder on social media, or recommending it to people who might be interested.
