Met jullie steun willen wij een onvervalst rock album in productie zetten en opnemen in een van de meest unieke, gave studio's van Nederland.
Willen jullie ons daarbij helpen?

Tot nu toe hebben we onze muziek carrière zelf gefinancierd, maar door het mislopen van alle festivals en andere optredens in 2020 kunnen wij de productie van dit album niet zelf bekostigen.

In ruil voor jullie hulp hebben wij voor jullie, Westonians van het vroegste uur naast eeuwige dank een aantal mooie tegenprestaties klaar staan.

Meet the band

Ik ben dus Johnny en samen met extraordinary bassplayer Eef en smashing Rens on the drums zijn wij Westone!

Ons hele leven staat in het teken van de rock muziek en samen hebben we er behoorlijk al wat speeljaren op zitten en veel Nederlandse en Europese stages mogen zien.

We zijn eind 2019 samen gekomen en man oh man, dat was gelijk raak. Muziek! Rock!

Nu willen wij een album opnemen, met daarop alle platen die we in het afgelopen jaar hebben gemaakt.

We verklappen nog niets, maar er zitten een aantal juweeltjes tussen die we - hopelijk- later dit jaar live on stage gaan spelen voor jullie.

2021: Het jaar van Westone

Maar laten we het eerst even hebben over 2020.. wat een jaar was dat!

Het jaar was op zich goed begonnen, met de rock die uit onze ziel vloeide naar onze handen. We hadden gelijk een aantal festivals en optredens te pakken ook, maar helaas... Alles werd afgelast.

Een beetje valse start zou je zeggen. Maar voor Westone was niet alles slecht:

- Het was het jaar van onze oprichting.
- Het jaar waarin we direct een nummer 1 plek te pakken hadden met onze eerste plaat Ghosttown
- Plus nog eens 2 top 10 noteringen daarna, met Better en Pillow Talking.
- We kwamen op de radio, televisie, in de krant en we waren bij Giel Beelen in de show.
- Ik kreeg de Feike de Leeuw award uitgereikt; een bijzondere cultuur prijs in mijn stadje Hoorn.

Best een aardige start dus, maar nu willen we echt door pakken met onze muziek.

Natuurlijk was het onwijs balen, dat onze eerste geplande festival gigs weg vielen en de horeca en podia moesten sluiten.
Dat was zuur voor iedereen.

Maar.

2021 wordt ons jaar. En we nemen jullie allemaal mee.

LET'S ROCK!

Het album – compleet analoog!

We hebben de lockdown en de tijd die we niet op podia hadden goed gebruikt.

En nu, staat er echt een gaaf rock album in de steigers met rauwe podium muziek, echte festival platen, rake lyrics, kapot lekkere drums, dope basslines en snerpende gitaren.

We gaan alle songs - volledig analoog - opnemen in The Lullabye Factory in Amsterdam en voor de liefhebber van rock muziek wordt het hier dus echt interessant! Check even hun Vimeo kanaal, als je meer wil zien en horen van de analoge set die ze gebruiken. Watertanden!

Daarna wordt het album op vinyl in kleine oplage van slechts 200 platen gedrukt by Record Industry in Haarlem.

Dit is dus je kans om deze eerste unieke opname te bemachtigen!

MEET THE BAND

Let’s properly introduce: My name is Johnny and together with extraordinary bass playerEef and smashing Rens on the drums we are Westone!

Our whole life isruled by rock music,playing the part and now looking to live the dream. Together we have already spent quite some years playing onmany Dutch andEuropean stages.

We formed Westone near the endof 2019 and man oh man: WHAT A MATCH.

AND NOW? Now we want to record an album with all the records we made in the past year. We won't lift the veil just yet, but there’s a real number of gems here, that we will (hopefully) playlive on stage for you later this year.

2021:The year of Westone

But firstlet's talk a little about 2020 ... I mean WHAT WAS THAT??

Westone was actually off to a great start, with the rock pouring from our soul to our hands.

We immediately had a number of festivals and performances, but unfortunately ... EVERYTHING WAS CANCELED.
Bit of a false start, we’re sure you can relate. But over the year- for Westone- not all was bad:

- It was the year of our birth.
- The year in which we immediately got to the number 1 spot in the IndieCharts with our first album Ghosttown
- Plus 2 more top 10 positions after that, with Better and Pillow Talking.
- We were on the radio, television, in the newspaper and we were in the show with Giel Beelen, a well-known Dutch host and radio-presenter.
- I received the Feico de Leeuw Award;a special culture prize in my hometown Hoorn.

All and all a decent start, but now we really want to break through with our music and show the world what we’re made of.

2021 will bethe year of Westone -and we’re gonna take you all along for the ride!

THE ALBUM - completely analog!

No sense in just waiting, hanging around until everything kicks off again right? We decided to make good use of the lockdown and the time we didn't have on stages.

AND NOW we have enough new material and a cool rock album in the making with raw stage music, real festival tracks, striking lyrics, smashing drums, dope basslines and screeching guitars!

We are goingto record all songs - completely analogue - in The Lullabye Factory inAmsterdam and for the hardcore rock music lover, this is where it really gets interesting!

After that the album will be printed on vinyl in a small edition of only 200 records byRecord Industry in Haarlem.
