Help ons met het realiseren van een vette, 450 pagina’s tellende interieur hardcover!

Een visuele vertelling over het creëren van een ruimtelijke ervaring. MAKING SPACE zal in twee delen inzicht geven in Studio Modijefsky: deel 1 behandelt de studio’s designfilosofie in woord en beeld, gevolgd door het maakproces van het fysieke interieur. Deel 2 toont het leven dat begint zodra deze interieurs in gebruik worden genomen.

Voor dit boek gaan we de Modijefsky interieurs vastleggen in documentaire fotoseries door Maeve Stam, waarin de plekken in gebruik zijn. In deze foto’s is de ruimte eigendom geworden van de gasten, de bezoekers en het personeel die de plek vullen. Deze gebruikers maken zich elk stukje van het interieur eigen: ze zullen er lachen, een nieuw gerecht proeven, vrienden ontmoeten, liefdes vinden en nieuwe herinneringen maken.

Deze energie legt Studio Modijefsky vast in MAKING SPACE, waarin het eerste decennium interieurontwerp en de mensen die deze interieurs tot leven brengen worden gevierd.

Met de € 15.000 die we willen ophalen, kunnen we het boek deze zomer drukken – een 450 pagina’s dik boek vol fotografie in een hardcover uitgave.

As a visual process of creating a spatial experience, MAKING SPACE will give a twofold insight into Studio Modijefsky: the studio’s design philosophy and the process of creation before the project is delivered; and the life that starts as soon as these interiors are inhabited.

For this book, we want to show Modijefsky's interiors in a documentary photography style through the lens of Maeve Stam, that show these places as they are in use. The space becomes the property of the guests, visitors and staff who fill it. They make each and every part of it their own: somewhere they will laugh, try new food, meet friends, lovers and make new memories.

This is the energy Studio Modijefsky wants to capture in MAKING SPACE, a book celebrating our first decade designing spaces and the people that bring them to life.

The €15.000 we’re looking to raise will enable us to print the book this summer in a stunning, 450-pages thick image-heavy hardcover edition.
