Hallo!

Mijn naam is Anna Pelgrim en ik ben een ontwerper in de zorg. Mijn droom is om zorginstellingen prettiger te maken voor de mensen die daar werken en verblijven. Om deze reden heb ik de Healing Pod ontworpen: een product dat patiënten en zorgverleners helpt hun stress te verminderen door middel van natuur en design.

Ik wil graag mijn tweede prototype bouwen en daarvoor heb ik jouw hulp nodig. Met jouw steun kan ik mijn droom daadwerkelijk realiseren om een impact te creëren op de zorg.

Over de Healing Pod

De Healing Pod is een kleine groene ruimte (of pod) waar je in kan zitten en waar je door zachte stimulatie van je zintuigen tot rust kan komen.

De Healing Pod is ontstaan naar aanleiding van familieleden en vrienden van mij die dagenlang zonder contact met natuur of frisse lucht in een ziekenhuisbed lagen. Als ontwerper heb ik de stap genomen om hier verandering in te brengen.

Na een succesvolle eerste prototype voelde ik gelijk dat de Healing Pod iets kon bieden, zeker voor mensen die geen toegang hebben tot natuur en vaak stress ervaren. (foto van 1ste prototype hieronder)

In 2018 was ik genomineerd voor een Haagse Vernieuwers en heb ik ook de eerste prototype van de Healing Pod naar verschillende locaties gebracht.

Na een onderzoeksfase ben ik er nu klaar voor om een nieuwe prototype te bouwen met een frisse design en nieuwe upgrades.

De Healing Pod werkt met 5 onderdelen.

- Een groene omgeving
- Aromatherapie
- Lichttherapie
- Geluid
- Natuurlijke materialen (hout)

Over Architecture of Cure

De Healing Pod is een project van mijn studio Architecture of Cure. Mijn studio is gefocust op ‘healing environment’ design.

Architecture of Cure doet onderzoek en probeert om ontwerp oplossingen te vinden voor problemen in de zorg. Kijk hier voor meer over de studio.

Doel

Geregeld ervaren patiënten en zorgverleners stress in zorginstellingen. Dit komt vaak door een overstimulatie van geluid, licht, informatie en het ziekenhuis kan ook veel gevoelens bij iemand oproepen.

Echter, wanneer men in verbinding staat met de natuur heeft dit een bewezen positieve invloed. In de Architecture of Cure documentaire kan je daar meer over leren!

Hiervoor heb ik jullie hulp nodig

Met deze crowdfunding campagne wil ik de tweede prototype bouwen van de Healing Pod. Het geld gaat naar materialen, arbeid en vervoer.Met jouw bijdrage kan ik positieve verandering brengen in de ervaringen van veel mensen in de zorg. Hi!

My name is Anna Pelgrim and I am a designer focused on healthcare. My dream is to make healthcare facilities more pleasant for the people that work and stay there. This is why I designed the Healing Pod; a product that is designed to help patients and caretakers reduce stress with the help of nature and design.

I would like to build the second prototype of the Healing Pod and this is where I need your help. With your support I can fulfill my dream of creating impact in healthcare building design

About the Healing Pod

The Healing Pod is a small space or pod that you can sit in that is aimed to give a sense of calm and relaxation through a soft sensory stimulation.

The Healing Pod came to life when I witnessed various family members and friends spending long days in a hospital bed without contact to nature or fresh air. As a designer, I decided to take action to make a change.

After a successful first prototype, I felt that the Healing Pod could genuinely make an impact, especially for people who do not have access to nature and experience stress often.

In 2018 I was nominated for The Hague Innovators Challenge and I also brought the first prototype of the Healing Pod to various locations and events.

After a research phase, I am now ready to build the next prototype, one with a fresh design and new upgrades.

The Healing Pod works with 5 elements:

- A green environment
- Aromatherapy
- Light Therapy
- Sound
- Natural materials (wood)

Goal

It is often that patients and caretakers experience high levels of stress in healthcare facilities such as hospitals. This is often because there is a sensory overload of sound, light, information, and the hospital can also bring up a lot of emotions for someone.

This is why I need your help

With this crowdfunding campaign I would like to build the second prototype of the Healing Pod. The funds will go to materials, labour, and transportation. With your support I will be able to make a positive change in the lives of many people who are in healthcare facilities.
