Beste donateurs van Concerto Barocco (Seldom Sene & Matthias Havinga),

We keken zo uit naar het cd-presentatieconcert op 19 december! We hadden afgelopen februari toen we aan het opnemen waren, nooit verwacht dat we vanwege de Corona-omstandigheden in Nederland de presentatie zouden moeten uitstellen, en nu is dat werkelijkheid. Er zijn teveel onzekerheden voor ons, met twee van ons die vanuit het buitenland naar Amsterdam moeten reizen, en daarnaast de twijfels of we in Nederland in december wel weer concerten kunnen organiseren, nu we in driekwart-lockdown zitten.

Gelukkig hebben we wel een nieuwe datum: 20 februari 2021, zelfde tijd en plaats, Amstelkerk Amsterdam, 20.15u. We hopen er dan een feest van te kunnen maken. Voor degenen die vrijkaartjes als cadeau kregen, noteer deze datum. Mocht het niet uitkomen, laat het weten, dan krijg je uiteraard een ticket voor een ander concert in 2021.

Intussen wordt in de komende weken de eerste lading CD’s verwacht op onze mat. We gaan binnenkort pakketjes maken, inclusief eventuele bladmuziek van een van de nummers van de CD, en ergens begin december kun je de CD beluisteren in je eigen woonkamer!

Dear sponsors of Concerto Barocco (Seldom Sene & Matthias Havinga),

We were so much looking forward to the CD presentation concert on December 19th! When we were recording last February, we never expected that we would have to postpone the presentation due to COVID-19 conditions in the Netherlands, and now that is reality. There are too many uncertainties for us, with two of us having to travel to Amsterdam from abroad, and the doubts as to whether we will be able to organize concerts again in the Netherlands in December, now that we are in ‘three-quarter’ lockdown.

Fortunately we do have a new date: February 20, 2021, same time and place, Amstelkerk, Amsterdam, 8.15 pm. We hope to be able to turn it into a party. For those who received free tickets as a gift, make a note of this date. If it does not fit your calendar, let us know and you will of course receive a ticket for another concert in 2021.

In the meantime, the first batch of CDs is expected on our door mat in the coming weeks, we will soon be making packages, including sheet music of one of the songs on the CD (for those who chose this perk), and somewhere in early December you will be able to listen to the CD in your own living room....!

Op sociale media heb je wellicht gezien dat de master van onze CD bijna af is, en dat ons label Brilliant Classics bijna kan beginnen met de productie van de CD. De release van de CD is eind november of uiterlijk 1 december. Wij kijken er erg naar uit om de CD (samen met bladmuziek als dat uw keuze was) naar jullie te sturen, hopelijk stellen we uw geduld niet teveel op de proef.

Voor andere tegenprestatie als de meet&greet, masterclasses, coachings en play alongs gaan wij nu bedenken hoe we die kunnen vormgeven met alle Corona-maatregelen in gedachten. We nemen zo snel mogelijk contact met u op.

Voor degenen met vrijkaarten voor een concert, noteer 19 december graag in je agenda! Dan presenteren wij onze CD in de Amstelkerk in Amsterdam!

You may have noticed on social media that the master of our CD is almost finished, and that our label Brilliant Classics can almost start with the production of the CD.

The release of the CD is planned at the end of November or at the latest on December 1. We are very much looking forward to sending you the CD (along with sheet music if that was your choice). Hopefully we will not test your patience too much.

For other perks, such as the meet & greet, master classes, coachings and play alongs, we are now thinking about how we can design these events Covid-19-proof, and we will be in touch asap!

De crowdfunding-campagne van Seldom Sene is afgelopen, en wij kunnen een heel mooi feestje vieren: 152 % van ons doelbedrag is binnengekomen door 81 donateurs! De post-productie van de CD is nu gegarandeerd, en daarnaast is het voor ons mogelijk om een fotoshoot en een professionele video die bij de lancering van de CD horen, te realiseren. En dat allemaal dankzij jullie, dank, dank, dank!!

De release van de CD staat gepland op 1 december van dit jaar. Voor iedereen die de CD als tegenprestatie krijgt, we streven ernaar dat je hem (samen met eventuele andere gekozen cadeautjes) vóór kerst op de mat hebt.

Daarnaast staat een concert met de CD presentatie gepland op 19 december in de Amstelkerk van Amsterdam, dit wordt een feestelijk kerstconcert. Mensen die een concertkaartje als tegenprestatie krijgen, mogen bij dit concert gratis naar binnen. Mocht je niet kunnen, dan ben je welkom bij een van onze andere concerten (zolang de voorraad voor vrijkaarten strekt).

Voor diegenen die lessen, coaching en/of een meet & greet als tegenprestatie hebben gekozen, we nemen voor de zomer contact op over de mogelijkheden voor de sessies: misschien online of hopelijk ook live (afhankelijk van je locatie).

Wij wensen iedereen het allerbeste in deze moeilijke periode, we hopen op betere tijden waar we elkaar weer zonder problemen in levende lijve kunnen ontmoeten!

Dear donors!

Seldom Sene's crowdfunding campaign has ended and we have good reasons to celebrate: 81 sponsors helped us reaching 152% of our target amount! The post-production of the CD is now guaranteed, and in addition, we will be able to organize professional photo and video shoots for the promotion of this album. All thanks to you!

The CD is scheduled to be released on December 1 this year. If you choose a perk that includes a signed copy of the CD, we hope to send it to the address you provided before the Christmas holidays, together with any other items like sheet music.

We have planned a festive Christmas concert, including the official CD presentation, on December 19 in the Amstelkerk (Amsterdam). If you chose a perk that includes a concert ticket, you are welcome to join us for free on December 19, or any concert of your choice, (while supplies last).

For those who have chosen lessons, coaching and/or a meet & greet: we will contact you before the summer about the possibilities for the sessions. Depending on your location and planning, they might be online, although we can hopefully also schedule some live lessons.

Update 16-3-2020: We zijn ontzettend blij dat wij vorige week ons doelbedrag van €2800 hebben gehaald! Veel dank aan alle donateurs!! Seldom Sene en Matthias Havinga zouden dit weekend een concert met het programma van de CD in Zuid-Duitsland spelen. Net als andere concerten wereldwijd, is deze afgelast vanwege COVID-19. Seldom Sene derft inkomsten net als zoveel andere musici (en mensen in andere beroepstakken). We willen graag al ons potentiële publiek bereiken en verhogen ons doelbedrag naar € 4000,-. Het geld gaat naar een fotoshoot voor het CD-boekje en een professionele video-opname van een van de stukken op de CD die wij wereldwijd kunnen delen! Wij willen dit project laten slagen met een optimaal resultaat. Alvast veel dank voor de steun en aandacht!

Seldom Sene and Matthias Havinga would have had a concert in Southern Germany this weekend, but like so many concerts around the world, it has been canceled due to COVID-19. Our ensemble can expect losing income in the coming months like so many other artists and people with other professions. We have increased the goal of this campaign to € 4,000,–. We plan to invest the extra money in a photo shoot for the CD cover and in a professional video recording of one of the pieces on the CD.
