Ik ben zangeres Jackie Lou en de afgelopen jaren heb ik veel ervaring opgedaan in de live-muziekscène: van improvisaties bij Wicked Jazz Sounds en Zwarte Cross, tot optredens door heel Nederland (en daarbuiten) waarbij ik te gekke covers heb mogen zingen. Deze tijd is heel leerzaam geweest, en ik ben onwijs trots op de carrière die ik inmiddels heb opgebouwd, maar het zingen van covers was nooit het einddoel...

Er brandt altijd al een vuur om mijn artisticiteit de vrije loop te laten en rauwe, authentieke muziek te maken. En ik ben blij te zeggen dat het daar nu éindelijk tijd voor is. Wij zijn Jackie & The Facts en we gaan ons DEBUUTALBUM opnemen!! 💥

💸 Waarom hebben we jouw hulp nodig?

Studiohuur, een goede producer, het laten drukken van LP's - het opnemen van muziek is onwijs duur en daar lopen we tegenaan. Maar met jouw steun kunnen we onze high-energy (garage)punkrock sound in 2024 de wereld in knallen! Denk aan krijsende gitaren, bad-ass vocalen, smerig lekkere baslijnen en Micky die totaal leip gaat op de drums.

💥 Wat maakt ons uniek?

In 2023 hebben Bram Juist (bas), Pete Miller (gitaar) en Micky Fisser (drum) en ik de handen ineengeslagen vanuit een gedeelde liefde voor de ruigere genres. De boys zijn 'The Facts' en ik mag frontvrouw zijn van deze muzikale zwaargewichten.

Jackie & The Facts hoopt met een vrouwelijk front vrouwen te inspireren om zich uit te spreken. En naast the usual love songs, kijken we ook kritisch naar alle shit in de wereld; oorlog, onrecht, woningnood en klimaatcrisis (etc.) De boodschap: soms moet je gewoon even focking boos of machteloos kunnen zijn, maar uiteindelijk doen we het samen 🌍

🎨 En dat is niet alles!

Voor ons album werken we samen met de legendarische Amsterdamse straatartiest Laser 3.14, die al decennialang zijn lyrische stempel op het Amsterdamse straatbeeld drukt.

I'm singer Jackie Lou, and over the past few years, I've immersed myself in the live music scene: from improv sessions at Wicked Jazz Sounds and Zwarte Cross to performances all over the Netherlands (and beyond) where I got to belt out some fantastic covers. It's been an amazing learning experience, and while I'm proud of the career I've built, singing covers was never the ultimate goal...

There has always been a burning desire within me to unleash my creativity and make raw, authentic music. I'm thrilled to announce that the time has finally come. We are Jackie & The Facts, and we're about to record our DEBUT ALBUM!! 💥

Studio rental, a top-notch producer, pressing LPs – recording music is incredibly costly, and that's the challenge we're facing. But with your support, we can unleash our high-energy (garage) punk-rock sound onto the world in 2024! Picture screaming guitars, badass vocals, irresistibly dirty basslines, and Micky going absolutely wild on the drums. 💥 What makes us unique?

In 2023, Bram Juist (bass), Pete Miller (guitar), Micky Fisser (drums), and I joined forces driven by our shared passion for rawer music genres. The guys are 'The Facts,' and I'm honored to be the frontwoman of these musical powerhouses.

Jackie & The Facts aims to inspire women to raise their voices. Beyond the usual love songs, we critically address all the world's mess - war, injustice, housing crises, and climate emergencies, among others. Our message: sometimes, you just need to be damn angry or feel utterly powerless, but ultimately, we're in this together 🌍

🎨 And that's not all!

For our album, we've teamed up with the legendary Amsterdam street artist Laser 3.14, who has been making his lyrical mark on the city's streets for decades.

Next year, you'll hear his words in our songs - how cool is that?! 🔥
